Craving Thai food, I walked about 15 minutes from the downtown Richmond Marriott to Mom’s Siam 2. The place was quiet on a Wednesday night, but the service was great—a friendly man greeted us, served as our waiter, and kept our water refilled. We ordered the Crab Rangoon, Drunken Noodle with Chicken, and Wonton Soup, which arrived very fast. The food itself was delicious and a solid 4/5; not the absolute best but the portions were large and easily enough for two meals. Highly recommend for the large portions, good price, and great service.

I wanted to leave a 10/10 review for this restaurant because the owner/manager/cooks helped my boyfriend and I get unstuck out of the snow and ice! We parked right in front of the restaurant, and realized the spot wasn’t suitable for us. Our car being FWD… we got stuck. I went in and asked for hot water to help with the ice. He kindly gave me a bowl of hot water with no objection. Super friendly! Eventually the cooks came out, and helped us push the car out of the spot to move into a parking garage. When we come back up to RVA, this is the first place I’m going. I had such a pleasant experience just from the hospitality alone, and the food looked/smelled amazing from what I saw.

We had the entire restaurant to ourselves for a little and the customer service was great!!! Even after some customers came in, our customer service was still good. The margarita was delicious and we loved the giant single ice cube in it. The sushi rolls were on the small side, but happy hour price Maki rolls are not bad. The restaurant is well decorated and has cute vibe inside. It was an easy stroll from the canal walk to the restaurant. Food was good. Not the best best taste and quality of Thai food that we have had. 5 for service and atmosphere

This is a warm quaint spot for delicious Thai food.

Personally, the crab fried rice was my favorite, but everything we tried hit.

The menu is a bit expansive, so you’re likely to find something that tickles your fancy.

I was absolutely surprised!
The food was excellent! I had pad Thai and asked for it to be spicy. Spot on! Shrimp was a decent size, fresh and cooked just right. Not dry nor old.
Everything was great! We had a little miscommunication with our order BUT our waiter was able to make it right. He was actually VERY kind and he was very attentive for him being the only waiter at the time with a few tables. My table was content with their food and service. If I’m ever finding myself back in the area I would make the effort to stop by.

My daughter and I enjoyed a dinner here on a weeknight. It wasn’t too busy and we were sat right away. We loved the window table we were at, looking out over Cary Street. We shared 3 rolls, seaweed salad, and shrimp tempura, which also comes with tempura vegetables. The specialty roll was huge. It was more than enough food for the two of us. I would definitely come back.

I cant speak highly enough of this place!!! They are always so welcoming and attentive to your needs. My water was never empty and they always check on me to make sure everything is good, which it always is. The man who is always working there (I assume he is the owner) is so kind and you can tell he truly cares about your experience.

This is my go to spot for sushi and other delicious foods like tom khar gai (my favorite soup!). Their happy hour deals are amazing and the Saturday $4 Maki Roll Special is INSANE.

This is one of my top Richmond restaurants.

Wow! This place is amazing. The food is spectacular and the serving sizes are enormous. I recommend the pad see ew and the drunken noodles with your choice of protein. We also took advantage of happy hour, which I believe is 3-7PM on the weekdays. All the sushi rolls are $6 and the jambalaya rolls were spectacular. Finally, we enjoyed a mojito and a mai tai which were super tasty and $2 off each because of happy hour.

Nice restaurant. The service was good. We enjoyed the Thai food. It was a bit interesting that a Thai restaurant served sushi as well. For what it’s worth, they do have a proper sushi set up. If you’re in the area, maybe give them a try out.
