Grandma’s homemade biscuits and gravy are absolutely unforgettable—fluffy, warm, and smothered in the most flavorful gravy you’ll ever taste. The home-fried potatoes are adorable, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. My husband tried the homemade French toast and said it was the best he’s ever had. And the pancakes? Light, delicious, and cooked to perfection. Every dish tastes like it was made with love.
What truly sets this place apart is the service. The lovely lady with the beautifully naturally white permed, curled hair is always floating around the dining room with the sweetest smile. She makes you feel welcomed, appreciated, and right at home every single time. Her name Hilda! Today 11-21-25 she dressed adorable as usual, I got the pleasure of her taking a picture with me!
The restaurant is always clean, always busy, and always consistent. Service is fast, friendly, and top-notch, and the food never misses. Some of the staff who we have had the pleasure of taking care of us with phenomenal service and exceptional customer service were Kim, and Tammy I believe and this visit teresa.
If you want a heartwarming dining experience with incredible homemade southern comfort food, this is the place to go. We can’t wait to come back again!
Good breakfast food. Cute atmosphere with a gazillion coffee cups and UK sports memorabilia. Very comfortable feel to the restaurant. One of us had a Mom’s breakfast special which included biscuits and gravy that really tasted like Mom’s home cooking. The other had a veggie omlet with fried potatoes- delicious!
Lots of selection. Breakfast And Lunch. Closes at 2 p.m. Located right off the I-75 exit. On the left side of the Marathon station. You will love all the food here. They are definitely UK fans and Richard Lynch fans. I love the staff here. They feel like family. Clean restrooms and eating area. You will not be disappointed!!!!
We will be back.
Have been back 3x since that first review. Second time with 2 others for brunch. 3rd time with brother for lunch.
Last time on Friday by myself for brunch.
All of the waitstaff are not equal. Most are kind and swift to serve, but a couple not so much…not so attentive. Food has been good each time, but not as much flavor as I had hoped with a few items. (Home fries.) Prices don’t always make sense. About 10 bucks for breakfast including 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, homefries and biscuits with Gravy. A lot of food. But get ham, 2 eggs, home fries and toast is nearly same amount.
Not a fan of the “cash only” service. Like so many people, I just don’t carry cash much. I get that it is a money saver for them, but I know their business would probably double at least if they took debit and credit cards.
I hope you keep reading this.
I just want to hug everyone who makes this restaurant possible
Here’s why: I haven’t had fried potatoes like my little Grandma made them since she was alive to whip them up on a wish. I try to get it right at home but I always use too much grease or just don’t quite get it right… well, one bite of these fried potatoes and I was 10 years old again. I was fighting back nostalgic tears of joy. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The food and the service are wonderful. I’ll be back as soon as I can to try everything else!!
