Absolutely LOVED this restaurant. The place was nice and homey with attentive service. The couple who run the place were very kind and ensured we were comfortable. The ramen and the sushi we ordered were very tasty. The food felt homemade, which was great for people who love eating ramen at home. The location was great. We had a 15-minute walk back to the hotel, and we got to take some great pictures of the capitol building, which was right around the corner from the restaurant.

Solid spot – ideally for takeout. It’s a tiny hole in the wall, but adorable and looks like family-run. They don’t have alcohol, so no drinks and a very small menu. Limited seating. There’s an upstairs but looks un-used. Seems out of place, but maybe it’s a neighborhood spot? I wouldn’t go back, but might order food for delivery.

Complete authenticity. The people running this place are super sweet and always want you to leave happy. The sushi was the best I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend the Avocado Salmon Roll to start. The ramen was pretty spicy, but there is a mild option. If you are iffy on spice, definitely get the mild ramen. Overall the meal was affordable and delicious 🙂

Very nice restaurant. It doesn’t have a lot of tables so the space is small and cozy. You can see how they prepare the food from your seat and the owners are very kind. Good value for money. We especially recommend their boxes. The sushi was also very tasty.

The place was small, cute, and charming. True mom and pop shop, the owners were so kind and doting. Tried the Bibimbap bowl and the mint lemonade and it did NOT disappoint. The owner and the cook herself, even mixed the Bibimbap for us. It felt like eating dinner at Grandma’s house, and I can’t wait to go back!

What a GEM!!!
This is one of the places that you would love to keep it for yourself but we NEED TO SUPPORT and live the experience of this mom an pop restaurant.
You can be surprise even with the flavors of the little salad on the Box!! The flavors are perfectly curated by the owners
The best meals take time, so be patience and respectful of the job made it directly by experience.
I’m so happy to fin this place, the next time I Will get more SPICY on the ramen.

I love hole-in-the-walls, and it’s rare you find a reasonably priced non-chain restaurant this close to the mall. And filling too!
Tucked down 2nd St NW, in an unassuming townhouse behind the Department of Labor, this is a cosy spot to dine-in. Unpretentious, this atmosphere is inviting to solo dinners. I had my eye on it for a while when working nearby, and am glad I got the chance to stop by. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit.
Had the vegetable bibimbap, but the boxes looked just as good. Will bring a friend next time to split.

What a sweet little restaurant, owned by a sweet couple. We had good conversation with them, she made delicious food and they gave our kids special attention. Would definitely recommend for a family or for date night.

Cutest little spot by the Capitol! We stopped in after our Capitol tour and I am so glad we did! The food was phenomenal and perfect for the price point. Don’t miss out on this gem of DC.

Wonderful lunch experience. The salmon sushi box was great! It included large pieces of semi cooked salmon rolls with a lovely sauce and capers, perfectly cooked tempura, salad, edamame, three tasty gyoza, and a flavorful miso soup. I also had their mint lemonade which was refreshing and a wonderful accompaniment to the meal. Welcoming and friendly service.
