Social Profile:

Momo’s began in September 1999 as a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint just off the campus of FSU on Tennessee Street with a half dozen or so employees and an original, made-from-scratch recipe for New York style, hand-tossed pizza. Momo’s continues to fill the bellies of college students and locals with “slices as big as your head” and the best prices in town.

Pizzas by the pie or huge slice & an extensive beer menu in easygoing surroundings.

I have always raved about Momo’s pizza till tonight. I’ve never received a pizza that was cooked so hot that it burnt but not cooked long enough for the dough to cook. Plus, someone definitely didn’t take the time to lay the pizza out correctly, so all these folds in the dough caused uneven cooking. So worst part of this was the customer service… I called and was hoping they would remake my pizza because I’m hungry and I wanted this tonight and now I’m out of luck! All they would do is refund… Well that doesn’t fix this so now I still have to re cook this and hope it doesn’t burn much more. Oh and the cheese bread I got looks like it was cooked on a dirty burnt pan. Again, never have I ever had this issue in many years. Guess I’ll be finding somewhere new to go. So disappointed… And pissed.

I used to come here during my college years (2002-2009) and remembered it as the best pizza I’d ever had. Visiting again in December 2025, I’m thrilled to say it’s still exceptional—even better than I remembered.

The pizza lives up to its reputation: slices are truly massive (as big as your head, just as advertised), made fresh to order with a generous amount of toppings. The crust has an amazing crunch that sets it apart.

The calzone is even more impressive and easily gets my recommendation. The dough is soft and baked to perfection, filled with savory, plentiful cheese that makes every bite satisfying.

The staff were friendly and attentive, rounding out a great experience. This place remains a gem after all these years.

Craving pizza during our time in Tallahassee so we decided to stop at Momos. Decent atmosphere, was earlier in the day so little empty, but good pizza style restaurant, I can see the place being very busy during FSU games. They have a massive XL pizza 30”, but we went with a large for 3 people, half cheese and half caprese, more than enough for 3. Crust was crunchy, little too crunch for my liking, but had a good flavor. If you like a thicker crust with more bread, this won’t be your place. Service was average and overall the pizza was average but good enough to return should I want a pizza place near FSU.

I was in town and this was around the corner of my AirBnB. Two slices and a draft beer (Proof 850) for $25. Kind workers!
pizza was good. They’re oversized. Highly suggest to get one

On October 31st, We were driving around in Tallahassee and wanted a good hot pizza. Well after getting turned around at Pizza Hut because they were out of ingredients. I decided to look on Google Maps to find out where we can get a Pizza since we were not from the area. On Google Maps I came across Momo’s Pizza. This place is located on Tennessee Street in Tallahassee. Not far from where we were already located. I called their phone number and a gentleman answered the phone. I asked what came on a Meat pizza? He told me Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Canadian Bacon, the works. I told him we wanted everything on it with extra cheese. He quoted a fair price about what we usually pay for two medium pan pizzas from Pizza Hut and said it would take about 45-50 minutes. We were so hungry we immediately started driving to find the location. When we arrived it was a nice little hidden gem. It was very quiet not many people at this location. My guess was It’s Halloween and locals are out enjoying the holiday. My husband went into the establishment to pay for our pizza and came out with this gigantic pizza box. After opening the box once he was in the car, I could have fell out. My hunger pains immediately started to grow larger after the aroma hit my nose. This pizza was so big. We started eating right in the car. When I tell you this was the best pizza we’ve had in a long time. It was definitely a premium pizza. I could taste all the flavors and meats. There wasn’t extra cheese on it like I like my pizza but it was very satisfying. After eating a huge slice we noticed locals starting coming into the establishment and the parking lot was filling up fast. We started to drive back to our hotel which was a 1 hour and 45 minutes drive back. I’m glad Pizza Hut sent us away because we would have never found this little hidden gem. Thank you Momo’s for an incredible experience. We will be back again. (I took a picture of the pizza next to a can of soda so you can see how big this pizza was.) Sorry we started eating sooner than I can take the pictures.

I ordered an XL pizza for a group of seven people, and it was more than enough! I especially loved the pesto chicken—it was delicious. The BBQ chicken was also nice, but the Philly was just average. The restroom wasn’t clean, and the chairs were old and torn, so there’s room for improvement. On the positive side, the cashier who took our order was very friendly and pleasant. Overall, it was a unique experience in terms of the pizza’s size!

So it’s been a while…I came years ago and it was great but I stopped coming because I went one day and the sauce was SWEET. So my question is are you guys still using a sweet or savory sauce because the sweet one was disappointing. Again it’s been a while and I want to give a try but I do not want no sweet sauce in my pizza.

We happened to stop in when it was empty, we figured it would be crazy busy considering the area in town but we got lucky. The service was quick and wonderful, and the pizza was great .
The slices really are huge
Decorations are cool too, absolutely what you expect to see in a college area pizza joint. 100% recommend stopping in

OK very good pizza made the way I requested. I ordered the 20 inch thinking that it is not a small but also not a 30 inch pie. Little did I know the pie was huge. One slice made me full. The staff were very nice. Super cool and chill. I will be back and if you don’t try this place. It’s your fault and you can only blame yourself. Treat yourself and your family to an amazing pizza pie.

I’ve been going here for a while and the pizza is pretty good! The size of a single slice is insane. It’s about the size of a personal pizza so you really only need one per person unless you eat a lot.
It’s thinner New York style pizza but it is very greasy. It’s so greasy it upset my stomach which doesn’t typically happen with pizza. It’s still delicious though! My husband got the buffalo chicken pizza slice and that thing is LOADED with chicken. It was so heavy he had to cut it up so the chicken didn’t all fall off. We also got the buffalo cheese sticks and those were pretty good, but it was too much food for us. One slice each was the right amount of food.
