I had a wonderful experience at Mono Spot! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors that reminded me of home. What made the visit even more special was meeting the owners; a lovely husband-and-wife duo who were so warm and welcoming. Their hospitality made the whole dining experience feel personal and inviting. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Nepali food served with genuine kindness!
Tried chicken choila set.. it was BOMB!! So delicious. Aloo chop.. tastes like it came right from the streets of Indrachowk. Mixed bara is so good. Khuwa yomari, khuwa lassi, sel set, chatamari and chicken lollipop .. you must try. Don’t miss from this list for the best taste!
If you like Newari food, this is the best spot in DFW.
Should you eat there anyway? Absolutely.
I have never had Newari food before but I have had Nepalese plenty and this topped everything I have had in the past. Ordered a sadheko momo, sekuwa set, and sel roti. Everything was phenominal. The sekuwa set came with a spicy peanut salad dish that I will be raving about until I die.
On top of it being delicious, the people that work there are really sweet as well. My order wasn’t quite ready when I got there and they offered me a seat and some chai to sip on while I waited.
Honestly, my only regret is that I couldn’t eat more in one go.
This place has exceptional food. I don’t even like Indian type food. But this is crazy. First, you walk into a crowded gas station with a very strong aroma omnipresent in the immediate environment. Then you see this small opening with a small stove and some of the nicest people you’ll meet west of Portugal. Then you order this ridiculously inexpensive food and BAM, your life just changed. Yes, it’s that GOOD!
