Food is good but these guys have short term memory and will forget your orders. Be sure to ask multiple times.

I ordered lunch from Momo Bistro & Bakery via UberEats and was extremely disappointed–and frankly, concerned–by the quality of the food. Two dishes in particular were absolutely unacceptable:

The sautéed bean curd with pork strips tasted sour, as if it had spoiled.

The celery with squid was even worse. The squid was foul-smelling, mushy, and clearly not fresh. I took a bite and had to immediately spit it out.

I’ve attached photos showing the uneaten squid to make it clear I’m not exaggerating and immediately dumped into the trash can!

This was part of a lunch special, but does that mean quality and food safety don’t matter? It’s deeply disappointing to receive food that feels unfit for consumption. I won’t be ordering again and cannot recommend this place.

Authentic Taiwanese restaurant with variety choices of Taiwanese food. Rice Wine Chicken Pot (燒酒雞鍋) was excellent; very close to what it supposed to taste!

Be aware that the prices of some items on the final check may be higher than what were shown on the menu. We were told that they have not yet updated the prices on the menu.

Coming from out of town, Taiwanese cuisine is a bit of treat for me. So glad to experience the diversity of cuisines offered in the San Gabriel Valley! The smoked duck was actually smokey and properly seasoned, not dry like so many versions I’ve had before. The bitter melon is still an acquired taste, no matter how well executed it is… First time having pork kidney. Now, I’m officially beyond thymus glands, tongues, livers, and stomachs. I don’t like thinking too hard about having eaten kidney, but I’m told it’s one of the more challenging things to cook and so very Taiwanese. I can’t say I’d order it again, but I did feel like it was a properly prepared internal organ. Fish, beef, chicken dishes were excellent!! We also got two excellent desserts (sorry for blurry photos of these) — tang yuan (sesame rice ball) soup and fried banana rolls.

They might have been busy, but there was clear favoritism in the restaurant. If you know the waitress, you get every dish served before anyone else gets their dishes started, even if it was ordered before that table.
We had to wait an hour before we got water. We waited 2 hours before we got a single dish, and the table after us who was sharing alcohol with the waitress finished eating before our 2nd dish.

Multiple reviews mentions poor service, and it seems like this is the trend.

Yummy authentic Taiwanese food. Excellent braised napa cabbage, goose meat, kidney stir fry. Taiwanese stir fry noodles were excellent. They are mindful of food allergies and can explain the ingredients well. Thank you.

MOMo Bistro in Monrovia, known for its Taiwanese cuisine, greeted us during lunchtime with a few occupied tables. The allure of lunch specials starting at $10 led us to try the Kejia mixed veggies and dried squid strips, along with eggplant with basil. Unfortunately, both dishes lacked the expected flavorful punch. The minimal service was disappointing; attempting to flag down a server proved challenging. Regrettably, this experience falls short of previous visits, and it seems the restaurant might have undergone changes. It’s unlikely we’ll return to MOMo Bistro based on this visit.
