Food is delicious! I was skeptical about the collared greens, because everyone has their own tastes. Rest assured the collared greens are amazing! Pulled pork and ribs were both tasty. Only thing lacking for me was the cornbread, it was moist but I’m used to it having butter. Can’t go wrong with their barbecue!

I went to this place last Friday, and got a Half Rack dinner. The ribs were perfect, falling apart but had some crispy pieces too, and the sauce was tasty. I got collard greens and mac and cheese as my sides, and they both were out of this world. To finish it up, a slice of sweet potato pie. It was the best piece of sweet potato pie that I’ve had in recent years. The cashier was friendly, and gave me some recommendations while we were talking about the menu. The food was hot, fresh, and ready to go within about 5 minutes. Mommy’s BBQ did it all right, and I’ll be back next weekend.

Stopped by on a whim while in town and I was so glad that I did!! Right off the bat, I was greeted by an upbeat, polite young man. After a very short wait, I was presented with a huge bag of delicious smelling food! The chicken leg quarters were moist and succulent, the pulled pork was smokey and delectable, the collard greens were savory and scrumptious, the potato salad was smooth and satisfying, the cornbread was light and fluffy, and the banana pudding was sweet and luscious! The portions were huge and the prices are great!
Contradictory to what one reviewer stated, I have seen bbq served on white bread a lot!! I believe it soaks up the extra grease from the meat! Also contradictory to that reviewer’s statement, I am not family, but let me tell you, I sure felt like I was after being treated so well when I ordered and being treated to this soul-satisfying meal! It will be a must-stop when I return to Mount Dora!

Everything was so delicious. Definitely some great soul food and the portions are very generous I was able to eat out my plate 3 times each time being super full. Also the homemade strawberry lemonade was like heaven in my mouth and the cookies were a fabulous desert. My brother would go here all the time so I thought I’d give it a shot 10/10 would eat again! And not to mention the staff are very nice and sweet

This place is amazing. Best green beans on the planet. I could have eaten an entire plate of them! Friendly service and large portions. Also really good brisket, BBQ sauce and lemonade. Didn’t take pics because I inhaled it. This is a must visit!

so….. we had several different plates, nice sizes and priced good but nowhere near best BBQ in fact probably the worst, never had plain white bread served with BBQ and sides were plain and watery tasting, ribs and chicken were just plain and smothered with bbq sauce, seems like they use no seasoning on anything just salt pepper and bbq sause. very nice staff though but food is very school lunch / nursing home like, I would not recommend, all other comments are most likely family and friends of staff. this review is not based on service just food

We went for the first time today. We got chicken, ribs, and pulled pork. Also had the potato salad, green beans, collard greens, and mac-n-cheese.
Everything was great! Pork and chicken were tender and juicy. The ribs were smoky with a delicious bark on the outside. Sides were spot on.
We’ll definitely be back. We’d love to see some brisket too. Maybe it will be added to the menu down the road.

We stopped here while in town and the food is soooooo good!! The sides are just as good as the meat. Oh and the desserts are really good too. I would’ve liked a little more food (sides specifically). I will definitely make this one of my regular stops.
