We ordered the meatloaf dinner and the beef roast dinner. Each meal came with 2 sides and a slice of buttered corn bread.
Technically, the roast comes with potatoes and a country gravy plus you choose 2 more sides. I ordered sweet corn and candied carrots.
My father ordered the meatloaf. He chose sweet corn and country potatoes for his sides.
Each meal came out hot and fresh. Good, savory, down-home kind of meals. We washed it all down with sweet tea and Dr. Pepper. It was a hardy meal for sure.
We also ordered one serving of the apple cinnamon cobbler to-go. Psst… I tasted it when we got home. haha Now gotta wait for dinner to eat the rest.
The owner was such a sweetheart of a lady. So very kind. We talked, well mostly my dad and her, talked the entire meal of “their childhood days.” How lovely to listen to them reminiscing of those long gone days.
This is one place Chickasha should be proud of, should be promoting more and definitely should be enjoying those delicious homecooked meals.
