I can’t say enough good things about Momma Spriggs! I’ve dined here many times and even hosted Christmas parties in their private room, and every experience has been fantastic. The menu may be simple, but everything is always fresh and delicious.
My go-to dish is the steak and crab cake with sweet potato fries—absolutely mouthwatering! The surf and turf salad is another standout, and I can confidently say all their burgers are fantastic.
On my latest visit, my son and I enjoyed a lovely meal on the patio, taking advantage of the beautiful weather. We were seated promptly by a friendly host, and our server was attentive and efficient. Even with the restaurant being busy, our food came out quickly!
And don’t skip dessert! They have an amazing selection of delectable treats that are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Nice place, service was ok, depends on who you get, some are better than others. Food was decent, the beef was good, but the cheap white wonderbread they served it on sucked. The turkey sandwich meat seemed like it was cut from a slab of so-so deli meat. I will go back to try something else.

I had been wanting to come here for a while because I heard the food was good but always forget about it because I mostly go to places that are in downtown Carlisle. Finally, I stopped for dinner in a Tuesday evening in August.
I did wait a few minutes for a hostess. They were pretty busy and they maybe thought I was waiting for someone or that someone else was helping me. Once I was seated the server was with me quickly to get me a drink and then to take my order.
I got the grilled halibut dinner that came with Parmesan risotto and it was so good I could have licked the plate. It was served with a side salad and bread. They were good too but that meal was delicious.
I came back the following Wednesday and had the citrus glazed salmon with sweet potato fries and green beans. This was very good as well. The fries may be the best sweet potatoe fries in town.
Prior to my dinners, I had only ever had tried the cake but including that her me as well. The triple chocolate cake is amazing. People have told me I need to try the coconut cake and I am certain I will do that.
Both times I was here for dinner the servers were friendly and attentive. The prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area.
They have a big dining area and an outdoor patio.
I thought this would be more of a diner atmosphere but it is not. It is more similar to other sit down dinner restaurants. The vibe is easygoing. There is no bar – not sure on any byob.
The quality of food here is excellent and the service has been great.

I wish we’d come to try this gem of a restaurant long ago! We arrived after 6pm on a July Saturday, were greeted warmly and seated immediately despite it being full of patrons. I had been afraid we’d have to wait for a table as the parking lot was quite full (though we had no trouble parking.) Our friendly waitress, Chelsey, was very attentive and professional. She brought out the fresh bread and butter and my husband ate it all. I ordered the NY Strip and Maryland-Style Crab cake with green beans and sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the Prime Rib with baked potato and green beans. Our food was cooked perfectly. Seriously, our steaks were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My husband ordered the Cherry Cheesecake for dessert and ate every last crumb. Scrumptious! The atmosphere of Momma Spriggs gives you a back-home-at-your-Moms feeling and it’s full of conversation but not too loud. We could speak to each other at normal levels. The decor is warm and inviting, the lighting is aplenty and warm. We look forward to returning soon! Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a delicious lunch today with my mom. My mom enjoyed the turkey dinner with the brioche stuffing. 2 thick slices of roast turkey, delicious homemade mashed potatoes and a pan gravy. I enjoyed the Baja Wrap with sweet potato fries. We took our desert to go. Dessert homemade carrot cake and pb cake. We will definitely return to enjoy their menu.

Wonderful dinner at Momma Spriggs. Our server was attentive and kind – food came out quickly and perfectly cooked. The salmon was absolutely delicious!! All the desserts looked incredible as well (homemade!) and give me a good reason to come back.

This place is a gem! Stopped in Carlisle to gas up and grab a bite. Picked this eatery based on the number of great reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Great wings, Sammies, and chippers. Our server was awesome. Very personable and willing to offer recommendations. Menu offered lots of selections and the place was very clean and cozy with plenty of parking. Food came out hot and fast. Would definitely return in the future.
