Driving through on our way to the 4B Auction, and stopped to grab breakfast.
First, we were greeted by the sweetest lady – Mama D herself! Our server, Cienna was friendly and attentive. My boyfriend had the Memaws breakfast, which was your typical eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy. I wanted to experience one of the more creative menu items, so I had the grit cakes and shrimp, and I enjoyed it immensely! The menu is so creative, and Cienna told us that the pancakes sell out every Saturday. Great food and experience. Thank you all for offering a great place to dine!

I placed a to-go order because I was short on time and ordered the Carnivore Omelette with breakfast potatoes 10/10.

When I opened the container, I was genuinely shocked by how much meat was in the omelette. There was enough meat alone to fill me up. I’ve seen others complain about the price, but I strongly disagree. You simply don’t get an omelette packed like that anywhere else. Most places are mostly egg with just a few pieces of meat — this was the complete opposite.

The breakfast potatoes were perfectly done: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The toast came with a jam sauce that was so good I could have drank it.

Overall, the quality, portion size, and flavor were absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be back — next time with the whole family.

Momma D personally greets you as you come in with wonderful southern. hospitality. The food is amazing and worth every cent. I had the Sassy Salmon Benedict and it is the best eggs benedict that I’ve ever had with atlantic salmon smoked at the restaurant. The service is excellent and they check on you several times to assure that you are having a wonderful dining experience, I highly recommend for food that is more high end than average.

Yes, you should eat at Mama D’s in Kingsport. We ate there shortly after they opened before their Google listing was live.

We got a rise and shine burger, the model city eggs Benedict and kids cheese quesadilla.

Everything was delicious, service was fast, and atmosphere is charming.

It’s on the pricier side of breakfast and brunch options we currently have but well worth it.

Phenomenal food and service. This is hands down the best restaurant in Kingsport and other restaurants need to take note. It is a little pricey but the quality and service are worth every penny! I have been here for both lunch and dinner and it’s been amazing each time!

Philly Burger. This picture does not do this burger justice. I had no idea just how big it was until I tried to pull it out of there with one hand. This involves Guy Fieri moves, elbows out both hands on burger. I was eating in the front seat sitting downtown. I put a bib on and thank God I did. That big napkin was catching stuff that rolled down my face. I look like a big 52 year-old baby… face covered in the special sauce on the burger, hands dripping wet making little baby Yum Yum grunting sounds. It had some sort of a pepper or seasoning or something that gave it this nice little kick. The fries were really good as well. I dipped them in their homemade ranch. I made it through about 60% and had to put the rest away for a snack later. Top notch.

This community is so lucky to have this place. It’s beautiful and clean and feels like home. The staff is so warm and made you feel like family. They noticed how much my son enjoyed the biscuit and gravy my mom had order and brought him some out. 10/10 excited to make this a regular spot with the family.

Also they offer meals to those who need it with donations from guest who eat there. Calling it the Full Belly Project.

As downtown Kingsport residents, my husband and I had been eagerly awaiting this restaurant’s opening. We’re now regulars for breakfast and lunch, and we’re excited that they will now be offering dinner a few days a week. Excellent food with a unique menu, great service, and a beautiful setting. We highly recommend it!
