We arrived around 6pm. There was only a couple tables available. They got all 5 of us in and seated quickly, but we also felt forgotten quickly. Took about 10 minutes for someone to get to us and she asked if we were waiting for our food. Took them a couple minutes to get us drinks and then take our order. In their defense, it was busy. Despite repeated waiting for orders they delivered and got all our orders correct( 3 bento boxes arrived after 7 to 10 minutes, one caterpillar roll arrived a few minutes after our bento boxes were served and we had to wait easily 15 minutes more for a dragon roll). Food was delicious and the portions were filling. All this considered, I’d still recommend. Good food, nice people, and nice atmosphere.

Great value, great fresh sushi, great staff, great music, great vibe.
We’re visiting from a state/region that have really good, but really expensive, fussy sushi restaurants. This was our first visit to this local chain and possibly the first sushi we’ve eaten in Oregon. The West Salem location is in a cute little house – much more pleasant than a strip mall setting, with plenty of parking all around.
What I immediately appreciated about this business is that it has obviously been thoughtfully constructed. From the food menus that include full ingredient lists and clear descriptions of what’s included, to take-away containers that are sized perfectly for sushi and that seal tightly to prevent a mess, it’s immediately clear that this business is run by people who think about customer comfort and execution.
I love what they’ve done here.
When i think about all the times I’ve stared at a menu with items named but not described, and about how so many businesses these days just can’t seem to manage to function without screwing things up, I have a lot of appreciation for an operator that cares about getting it right.
The other customers seemed happy to be there, too. We’re happy and eager to support this locally-originated, local chain and hope they continue to channel the positivity we saw today.

This is the nicest Momiji’s in Salem. The atmosphere is classy and beautiful, the service is outstanding, and the food is excellent. This is my hubby’s and son’s favorite restaurant. They love Sushi. Although I’m not a big Sushi person because I’m not huge on seafood and I hate fish, their Salem roll is sooooo good. Their Bento box is really good and reasonably priced. Their spring rolls are very tasty, albeit tiny. You can’t really go wrong here, especially if you love Sushi.
They serve Miso soup with all meals.

Apparently you have to ask for Wasabi, spend $40 dollars on 3 rolls and all they say over the phone is “well sorry there’s nothing we can do for you now”. I’ll just go to Roth’s next time for the same quality sushi and they actually put wasabi in every container.
