An absolutely unique and wonderful experience for us here in the Boston area. Deep flavors and beautifully presented items coupled with over the top individual service and presentation throughout the night. A great place to meet up with some good friends and enjoy an evening.

This was a decent experience, lots of creative food choices and unique / rare fish. The place is small so quite intimate. It is not in the usual style of omakase where everyone dines at the same time, so it is more ‘personal’, but the trade-off is that it can be slow and there is only one chef going between all the tables so you have to take ‘breaks’ every two nigiri.
The tip suggestion surprised us as the minimum tip suggestion was 20%, then went up to 25%, 30%, and 35% which seems rather high as a tip suggestion.

Super appreciative of Chef Chris for curating not only a vegetarian Omakase (so rare) but also one that took our preferences into account (not huge mushroom people). He makes his own tofu in house and it was one of the best bites of food I’ve ever had. We were super impressed with the creativity behind everything we we served. Bravo!

Truly an amazing experience. I made a reservation a month in advance jukusei omakase which is aged. A lot of the sushi were aged for at least 2 weeks. Lots of ingredients was made in house including the tofu. Every piece has a story behind it and I absolutely loved every bit of it. Chef Chris did a great job in his preparation and you can see his passion for sushi. We had a very private evening where Chef Chris made every piece in front of us and took the time to tell us the history of traditional Japanese cuisine. Definitely one of the best experience I’ve ever had and highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Love the atmosphere here and that’s not to undersell the food. It’s very intimate and a great place if you want to have a conversation. Being there with the chef and having the nigiri made in front of you really makes the occasion feel extra special. It also doesn’t hurt that the chef takes your preferences into account and customize the menu based on what you like to eat

We got the uni tasting set and 2 donburi for takeout. The uni was very fresh, amongst our favourites, along with the otoro and sea bream. Tastefully packaged for takeout and we were quite stuffed for $$$. Very fresh fish. The chawanmushi was also amazing. So many fishes that we have never tasted before!! Extremely worth it for the price.

This was an amazing omakase experience for celebrating a birthday. From the moment we walked in chef Chris made us feel welcome and was enthusiastic about helping us experience what he is so passionate about! Every dish was well thought out, creative, and unique. There was not one bite that we didn’t enjoy and his recommendation for sake was spot on. It was one of our favorite omakase experiences in Boston and we can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner and we could not have had a better experience. IMHO, Chef Chris is the most talented Omakase chef in Boston. He explained that his style of Omakase is very traditional, and focuses on the fish and quality of ingredients. The fish was so fresh and delicious, and Chef Chris did an amazing job of explaining each bite. Great sake pairing too. He even hand wrote up the menu for us to remember the meal. It’s pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. For a special occasion this is definitely the place to go!

The food tasted great, but the experience in all was a little disappointing. I went to Momi Nonmi for brunch because Japanese brunch sounded like a unique breakfast option. Aside from the decor however, our food wasn’t that different.
A unique part of Momi’s Tamagoyaki set was the edamame croquette which was delicious, as were the other aspects — brussel sprouts, sausage and scrambled eggs. The unique part of the deconstructed oyako dip was the sauces added to the poached egg, but aside from this, it was just a piece of fried chicken. Another somewhat disappointing part was the service — one waitress attending to all the tables may explain why we never received the oolong tea that we ordered. She apologized afterwards and offered us the cup of tea for free.
All in all the food was delicious, but it just wasn’t the experience we were hoping for, especially considering the price.

The most exceptional meal we’ve had in the Boston area in 20 years. Every plate was a hit. We will definitely be back.
