CHECKMATE!?
The food was fantastic. ( that’s the only reason we would go back, but it would be to go ) We got overcharged on our bill by $15 so we did not tip after we realize that.!! the food did take forever to come out because the younger looking blonde girl that was behind the counter decided to talk with some regular customers rather than making the food! There was four of us in our party and we sat at the end of the bar quiet as could be ! didn’t ask for anything, didn’t need anything extra. Just ordered our food and waited for it to be finished 35 minutes later with only two other customers in the store!

I stopped in because I remember seeing Facebook posts about this place. Maaaan let me tell you, this is like eating at home. I had a cheeseburger sub and some pizza fries, and I felt like I was eating food made by my mom and dad. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very laid back and friendly too, something I love.

My mom worked here 40 years ago and still such a hole-in-the-wall gem, the lunch and breakfast are great even after all this time.. The steamed bun burgers, broccoli n cheese bites, crinkle cut fries, and Hot Turkey Platters have always been my favorites. Everything cooked to order, can’t beat it. Staff are no BS but friendly and work hard, I always tip them 40+%. Looking forward.to anytime I stop in!

Mom & Pop dive that is clean despite the water stained dirty ceiling tiles. My kind of place locals come to. Staff was polite, friendly, and welcoming. Now the cheese steak review; Terrible. One thin layer of steak um on a six inch roll. Toppings were fresh. $10.00. Based on photos and reviews I went there. Won’t do the cheese steak again, but will try something else.

Got two cheese steaks TODAY ( 8/19/2025) asked for extra mayo on mine , didn’t put any on there at all . . . Good think I asked for extra in a side cup , meat wasn’t even fully cooked I bit into it and felt a cold spot , my dog enjoyed it tho .

No matter what time of day or weekend, the service here is great. I usually come on weekends when I visit a friend in the area. He told me about this place. The Hamburgers are what got me to come back for the past 3 YEARS. Brooke amd Gabby are friendly staff and the food they make is great. Hamburgers, Chicken sandwich, steak and Cheese, Pizza Burger, Fosh Sandwich, Chicken Salad. In season when they have Chili it is also wonderful. They also have Desserts at this place. Another great item. So if you are passing the area make it a point to stop HERE. YOU will not regret it. Tell them Daniel from VA recommended it.

Meh. Small portion, lack of toppings. Friendly employees but you can get a better Italian sub at Subway. Also they are cash only, which I generally associate with tax evasion and withholding funding from the local community.
