Every once in a while you stumble into something. Today was one of those days. On our way to Baton Rouge, we stopped for lunch. The food was DELICIOUS. Pop and one of his 6 daughters were working and kept the place spotless. They were so kind and accommodating. Something so often overlooked. What a gift! Thank you!

Had the Baked Pork Chop with green beans and mac and cheese with cornbread .Tasted like my grandma was in the kitchen. Best Soul Food we have had in years. Cornbread moist and no need for butter. Chop was in a tasty savory sauce. Asked for recipe (but she laughed ) Green beans with onions and potatoes and mac and cheese was spot on. Will be back next time in area to try the BBQ ribs. Our way to The NOLA because we were famished! The good lord works in mysterious ways and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and even better than that we found out this is a family run restaurant!!! We had the blessing to learn they were celebrating the Queen Mother Matriarch in their family turning 109 years old tomorrow June 2nd 2025 ❤️❤️ They serve a buffet style meal the 1st Sunday of every month and their whole family and church family eat and fellowship together which is truly a beautiful thing! This is a must STOP spot if your ever in the area! The only points I have to deduct is the good brother told me he is a cowbum fan ♂️BUT I still took a picture with him and his cousin who served us the wonderful meal! I give this family owned restaurant 10 Thumps up

My husband and I had finally went. I got a chitterlings plate with Mac and cheese and candied yams. I came for the chitterlings my plate was $40. The chitterlings was definitely tough a little disappointed, but however the sides was so delicious and my husband plate meat loaf mashed potatoes and candied yams also was delicious i definitely will go back but will not be getting no chitterlings customer service was also good everyone was super nice

We know how I love my mom and pop spots and yes lawd this has become my new stop on my way home from Alabama games . The customer service was great but they also give you your money’s worth. The meat was just falling off the neckbones, the flavor was perfect, and the sides were filling. The sweet potato pie don’t eat until you get home because it’s the last part of the sleeping pill… Hubby had red beans and sausage w/rice which he really didn’t want to share but baby that homemade skillet cornbread was icing on the cake. Thank you Mom and Pop’s for sharing some wonderful food with us

Delicious food! We’re from France and we’ve been traveling for two weeks in the South Nashville, Memphis, New Oleans ect, and this is the second best restaurant if not best we have done during our stay.

After years of disappointment from some restaurants witch im not gonna put them on blast but anyway my brother decided it’s time to look down n the Queen City for some places catered food so he come upon Mom & Pops and let me tell you az Ray Charles says you got the right one baby unhuh unhuh they be hooking it up love they food season well nice and friendly staff if u pass this restaurant without stopping in then you missing out on good eating so from now on when I come to Meridian ima stop by
