I was after a neapolitan-style pizza, so I thought I’d try this place. They boast wood-fired pizza but served me a pie made in a gas/electric oven. No leoparding, char, or smokiness in flavor – apparently light baked (see photos).
The kid behind the counter was nice, chatted a while I waited for my pie. True neapolitan cooks in under 2 minutes, so why did I wait 20 minutes for my pizza? Especially since it wasn’t busy.
I asked for them to leave the lid open on my pizza, especially because neapolitan pies die very quickly in a box. Box was closed. Opened the box to find a lightly baked new York style pizza inside the box. No puffy blistered cornicione- just a sad, bready crust in need of a little umpf.
I can’t make your pizza decisions for you, but I respectfully suggest you try any other pizzeria in Wallingford before this place. Not true to the style and takes a long time to get.

The pizza was properly crunchy on the sides with an even distribution of toppings. Flavorful throughout. Each slice was practically a meal by itself. Even better, it reheated extremely well. This indicates a clean kitchen and quality sourcing.
The salad was crisp and tasty. Dressing was rich and creamy but not overly so. Excellent complement to the pizza.
10/10 will order again 🙂
This place check off every box. They have 14 inch pies for $10 and up. We got 2 pies for 2 people and it was enough food for $23. The pizzas were cooked perfectly. Not too crispy and not too soft. How wood fired should be
