Great upscale dinning whose taste and presentation rivals any big city eatery. I had the fettuccine with squash in it and my wife had the Chili Ribs. Squash is not the first thing I think would go with Fettuccine Alfredo but the taste was excellent. The Ribs came arranged on top of sticky rice like on a rack. They had a different flavor than barbecue ribs, not too sweet, that was excellent. Waiter was attentive without overdoing it. We were allowed to be seated without a reservation on a Thursday night but I would recommend it, particularly on a weekend night.

I can’t say enough good things about Molly’s! We dined on the back patio during a spring rainstorm, which was the perfect setting for our meal. The menu isnt huge, but you can tell every item was carefully thought out, honestly everything sounded wonderful. Both of the meals we ordered were phenomenal, with good sized portions, and a fair price for the quality you are getting. Our server and the whole staff were just so nice, we were checked on frequently and our drinks were always full. We will definitely be back soon!

My wife and I went to Molly’s for the first time tonight and it was the best meal we have shared together. Everything from the atmosphere to the food was phenomenal. The icing on the cake was the over the top service Aaliyah gave us, you can tell she cares deeply for what she does and it made our evening. We will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later. As two people who rarely get the time to go out together, we experienced a night that we will never forget.

This is such a special place. I live in Rockford. We have more restaurants here but this place takes the cake. A beautiful drive from Rockford also. Every time I go I am reminded how special this place is. I send everyone I know here. Every dish I’ve ever had is amazing, the service is so warm and friendly and the place is crazy cute. They added on to their patio and redid did it so if weather is nice it’s def worth sitting on (it’s also covered!) I saved the best for last which is their cocktail program, as a cocktail enthusiast I feel you won’t find a better program around. There is so much love, thought and energy poured in it. Every drink I’ve ever had is complex, beautiful, and a scrumptious treat. Anytime I go whole staff makes it feel so welcoming but extra shout out to Julie and Shaina. They go out of their way for us in every way. I can’t say enough praise about this place! Go and treat yo self!

Friends brought us here after raving about their food for months and we were not disappointed. Staff was probably the best we have seen with food knowledge, suggestions and social engagement. We will be back!!

Our first visit to Molly’s and certainly didn’t disappoint. The appetizer, drinks and main course was amazing! Excellent service and the bartender knows how to prepare the best cocktails bar none. If you haven’t discovered this little jewel, you need to make the trip to this quaint little town.

Excellent dinner in this little town with great service and a really cool atmosphere. The cocktail I had (Hunk of Burnin Love) was delicious and the Pulled Pork dish wonderful. Will definitely return to this great find.

Located in historic downtown Mt Carroll, this restaurant gem is not to be missed. Cheery friendly staff greet and serve. And service is perfect. Between craft mixed drinks and unique gastronomic food choices you’ll be happy you. We had the baked gruyere cheese with spinach pesto YES!. Twice cooked fries with aioli if you’re a fan of crunchy fries. The housemade banana ice cream is a contender.

Off the charts awesome. Handmade fettuccine with marinara was perfect. Portions perfectly sized. Double-cooked fries with aioli mayo were deadly good, as was the Brussels sprouts appetizer…
Margarita with elderflower was magical!
The Inn at Molly’s (two suites only, right upstairs) is also stunning!

I thought I had reviewed Molly’s but here it goes- I grew up in Chicago eating out with a mom who was a pseudo gourmet cook. Molly’s could compete hands down with every restaurant I love in Chicago, maybe with the exception of Cafe Baba Reba which is Spanish Tapas. It isn’t just the style and quality of the food, it is the atmosphere, the design choices and the waitstaff. It’s an experience for sure and everyone should try Molly’s at least once in their life. To my knowledge Molly worked with a Michelin rated chef in LA and it is pretty obvious, and Ben and his staff are equally skilled. Ben’s bread is my favorite sourdough I have had EVER. So glad I spend enough time in Mt. Carroll so that I can consistently enjoy this place!
