The service was great and everyone was very kind. The food was mediocre. This is a great place if you are looking for diner food breakfast. The avocado toast was nothing over the top. Guacamole on sourdough sandwich bread. You can opt for everything seasoning but I wasn’t feeling it. Adding some homemade thick sourdough bread, sea salt, and lime would really elevate this dish. The French toast was good. The edges were crunchy and the middle soft. Reminded me of elementary school French toast sticks. The homemade hash was homemade, not sure I would call it hash. It was diced. A good hash is shredded and the potatoes and soft and almost blended. It has a good flavor but the texture was not what I was expecting. Overall it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t my favorite.

My boyfriend got a barbecue ranch chicken wrap it was very good. Place is small and quick not busy for a Saturday. Online said they were closed but they were indeed open and ready for service. Nice little place on york beach.

Food is mediocre and greasy. We ordered a cheeseburger and a sub and they were dripping with grease. The burger didn’t seem fully cooked. Also -1 star for charging $1 for tiny bits of lettuce and tomatoes for the cheeseburger. I got food poisoning later that evening.

I love visiting here when I’m in town. Service is fast, waitstaff very friendly, and food is always cooked the way I ask. Right in the center of Short Sands Beach. They open early, which is nice too. Eat and get to the beach for the day.

What a great spot at York Beach. David and I like to walk here on weekends when I don’t feel like making breakfast. The food is good and in-line with diner food. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for a beach establishment. The owner is genuinely concerned about his customers and staff which is refreshing. I love the fact that his kitchen crew and some wait staff are all Haitian and he obviously trying to help them have better lives not take advantage of them like so many unscrupulous business owners. When in Short Sands check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped here on a whim and am glad we did. We both had the lobster bene and it was tasty. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and attentive. And we got to sing Happy Birthday to the chef.

Well, a couple of days after my great review, I see from my Bank statement that Molly-O’s charged me twice (once for my meal $34.70 and again $77.21 for another table’s meal). I called and reported it and she told me to go through my bank to correct it because it would take time through her “processor”. I waited a couple of days for her “processor”and reported it to my Bank and my Bank credit me back the money. She called several days later asking me if I saw the money go through from her processor. My Bank credit my account the day I put the complaint in. I just don’t appreciate Molly-O’s not crediting my account once they were aware of the mistake. Not everyone has an extra $80.00 sitting in their account to cover errors and what if I didn’t discover the error.
Just check your Bank account when you eat at Molly-O’s or pay Cash. We are not judging food quality but service because I remembered I had to ask the waitress for the return of my Credit card, she was just standing around talking to someone and we finally requested it back. I guess that was a Red Flag.

Old school restaurant in York Beach. Service was fast, and the food was better than expected. I wouldn’t suggest the Avacado Toast but, DO NOT pass on the grilled muffin. Having never heard of such a thing, we order the grilled apple pie muffin and WHAT!!

I’ve eaten at Molly O’s several times and normally very happy. This morning was definitely not a breakfast that would make me return. A waffle, $9 dollars that was hard to cut and not even warm (probably frozen) 2 pieces of toasted sourdough with guacamole, $9 dollars that was cold and not toasted enough. $3 dollars an egg? The waitresses are always wonderful and I understand it’s very busy. I don’t mind paying the prices but I need the food served to be warm and fresh.

Good breakfast food. Went here twice during my stay. Would have given 5 stars but on my first visit the waitress charged my food bill on another guest’s credit card. Luckily I caught this instead of that poor customer paying for a double bill. The waitress should be more careful as this is unacceptable. Second visit was uneventful.
