We came here because we were doing laundry next door. It was nice, the nachos have a good size and are very tasteful. We also had the queso fundido with chorizo and it was good but if I had to pick, I’ll stick with the nachos. The passionfruit margarita was the highlight for me and the service. Andrea was our server and she was super friendly. Thanks for everything

Found a Lil Mexican gem on the streets of East Village on a rainy day! 5 friends looking for a place to eat and we stumbled upon Molé (authentic Mexican food). The tacos are a particular favorite, with a wide variety of fillings to choose from. The restaurant also offers a great selection of margaritas and other cocktails. We ordered nachos, veggie tacos, cheese quesadillas with some veggies and a side of guacamole with chips. Portions were great to share, filling too. I devoured the , it reminded me of Mexico city tacos! Very flavorful! It’s a small restaurant with bar, cozy ambience, great service and expectional food! Great team! Keep it up!
Definitely coming again!

I went to Mole Cantina restaurant because it had good reviews. I order tacos with meat but they did not have, which was very surprising. Maybe because on the menu it was not that expensive. I decided to order Pico de gallo & jalapeño Nachos. To my surprise it was not that great. Very little chicken and sauce , jalapeño and cheese. I had also ordered drinks during happy hours 4 fruit and mongo margaritas, happy hour price was expensive at $12 ea and when served it had more ice than liquor and not able to taste the fruits. I also decided to order Bisteck A La Mexicana, the food was a little too much salt , its rice tasted like box rice and dry. The service was ok , and the waitress was very attentive and I did express my concern of the food and drinks. That is why I gave it a 2 stars. I think they need a chef that knows how to cook authentic Mexican dishes. As a business owner who travels a lot, I try to go to different restaurants to try different ethnic foods and dishes.

The food here is always quality. My wife and I have ordered to-go from here for years, and decided to go in person for the first time, and we’re delighted by the experience. Especially appreciate the clearly labeled gluten free options (of which there are plenty!). Will be back soon.

Ive been here twice and have enjoyed both visits. We chose to sit outside, and that did not effect our service. Waiter was kind and quick with our stuff. We started with the empanadas and they were very good. The crema and sauce that came with it elevated the flavors and I enjoyed it. The mains were also good, flavorful except for the rice and beans. I almost feel like the star of the dishes are what you order and the rice and beans are second thought.
The drinks were good as well, good size and alcohol present. The pina colada tastes exactly as it should, and I had a watermelon margarita. It was good, watermelon flavor was light.
Overall, I enjoyed this spot and would return or recommend!

The guac was huge, but tasty. Definitely need three people to finish it. My dad really liked the mole. My other dad really liked the omelette. My fried shrimp tacos were AMAZING. Perfectly battered and fried. HUGE portion sizes though. So full. Took it home. I also believe this is woman owned at least bc I think the woman who greeted us was the owner and really wanted us to enjoy.

The fresh guacamole and chips ($16 plus tax) would be reason enough to try Molé. It’s that good. The chipotle pork tacos (2 for $14) were delicious, but at that price it would have been nice to get a small side rather than just shredded lettuce.

Service was great. Atmosphere was cute. I’ve had better Mexican food at 3 Margaritas. The near empty restaurant on a weekend night should have been a clue but even then the food was surprisingly bad, bland, and soupy/mushy. Especially for that price point.
