My family and I were craving a hearty caldo de res and other Mexican dishes, so we decided to stop by this place and we’re so glad we did. The food was absolutely fantastic. The caldo de res was delicious, and everything we ordered was amazing.
I did notice they were short-staffed, and many of the employees were young, but that’s completely understandable. Everyone has to start somewhere, and for some of them, this may be their first job. We did experience a small issue, but the owner addressed it promptly and professionally. She truly went above and beyond, giving us 150% customer service and making sure we felt taken care of.
I’ve seen some reviews mention long wait times, but I think it’s important to be patient and understanding, especially when a restaurant is short-staffed and training new employees. My family and I were very empathetic and understanding, and it made the experience even better.
We will definitely be coming back. We loved the food, the service, and the care we received. Highly recommend!

Absolutely my favorite spot in Ruidoso!! The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is truly authentic, and without question the very best chips AND salsa in town! The asado (rojo) is my personal fave, but I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t fantastic! 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!!!

To management/ownership, if coming in at 730pm is too late to dine in when you close at 8pm, maybe you should just close at 730pm to make things easier on your staff who clearly don’t want to serve customers at this hour. When a customer arrives and the first thing out of their mouths is “we close at 8” it immediately gives us the impression that we aren’t welcome to dine in and enjoy our food. Please speak to your staff because you’re losing money. We were very excited to try your restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel welcomed. 02/06/2026
