I visited here in October; & I can’t stop thinking about the green chile shrimp quesadillas. Goodness gracious! So Good; the Christmas enchiladas were equally as good. Serve was superb. I can’t wait to return.

Great food. This place really know how to make tacos. Would love to come back and try something new on the menu. Fish tacos were crunch with green salsa, a perfect heat level.

Delicious tacos birria! A smokiness to the sauce, and they look small but they’re STUFFED with meat and cheese. BFF had the chicken flautas which were a teeny bit dry and bland, but all his sides were excellent. The only drawback was the music was so loud it was hard to hear the gal we ordered from. Definitely would come back for the food, though. Only about 4 tables, the rest were booths.

My order was very unacceptable first of all my order was wrong. Second the green chile was so hot I could not eat the burrito. I asked for smothered green chili fries for my 9 year old and they just sprinkled chopped green chili on top she literally threw up after the first bite couldn’t eat that either. My sisters carne asada burrito was dry as cardboard had no avacado as advertised. The food also had no flavor. Very disappointing and waste of money.

This little joint serves the most amazing Mexican food. We got a delicious combination plate with rice, beans, chile relleno, cheese enchilada, flauta, rice, and beans. Chips were fresh and the fresh made roasted chile salsa was some of the best I’ve ever eaten.

Salsa Verde and salsa for chips was homemade and really good.
Excellent Relleno and Asado Verde
Get the flour tortillas as they are homemade. Chips were a little stale but still a 5 star

Great food made when you order it, the Waitresses were friendly and attentive ! I had the Chile Relleno plate, both the Red and Green Chile that come with it are fresh and delicious, but not for the faint of heart(Really Hot, in a really good way!) Likewise the salsa that comes with the complimentary chips is worth going for by itself.
All in all you get every bit of what you pay for here at Molcajetes!

I went here on a Saturday during Hatch chile festival. I am writing this review more for the owner/mgmt. The food tasted amazing. The service was slow and chaotic. 10 minutes to get drinks ordered, 15 minutes to order food. Luckily the woman at the next table spoke loudly to the server to take our order. No chips, no salsa, food took more than 45 minutes to get. Cielo, mar, tierra molcajete came out. There were no shrimp. Pastor tacos are served with nothing but a lime and old cup of chopped onions. No cilantro, no cabbage. I wish server would have told us they were out of so many things. I was still charged full price even without shrimp. The kicker was at the end. The server (male) took our molcajete away and our drinks, told us to pay at the register (he told us 3 times) while we were there. Even before food came out. Anyway, he told us again to pay up front, and “we are closing so do as you will with that. It was 7:49 pm. Kicking us out after we waited so long for everything. Absolutely rude! The wait staff need serious training. They failed to inform us about anything being out of stock until asked about it. They don’t communicate with each other on who is serving who. Servers are wasting their time with this chaotic serving style.

The food is outstanding! Service was rough at first but became better throughout our lunch. There’s a store connected to the restaurant that has some beautiful items! Highly recommend this place!
