Stopped by for lunch & had the chicken rice bowl. It was so delicious that I grabbed another before heading to the airport for my flight home. Definitely stop by if in the area. You’ll be delighted.

Visited this restaurant when I was in New Jersey and I was very impressed by the nice service and the delicious and wonderful Korean food. I ordered the salmon avocado bowl and every bite was tasty, all the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. I also ordered the dragon/strawberry tea and it was very refreshing

Went to Mokbar in Newark, NJ today. Got the bulgogi bowl with noodles. Huge portion size for $18. Came with daikon, sauce, egg that had an exploding hot yolk and other stuff you’d think would blow you away.
Sadly, I found the taste very different from authentic Korean cuisine. Flavors clashed. Wouldn’t get it again.
Cashier took my order quickly and the food came out in 5 to 10 minutes. Good place for quick food to take back to the office. However, I’ll be heading somewhere else next time.

Amazing ramen bowls, with rich and savory broth. Don’t underestimate the classic ramen. All are great and taste authentic. The marinated mushrooms were delightful in the ramen, too. I could drink the broth alone and feel sated. Noodles are cooked and separated from broth so they don’t soak too long if you’re taking out.

I have been waiting for this Mokbar location to open and it did not disappoint. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I had the bulgogi bowl with rice and the ribeye was really delicious and tender. I will be coming back here to try other dishes. Thank you for bringing delicious Korean food to Newark.

Nice to see Mokbar expanding more and more. I thoroughly enjoy both locations in NYC and was happy to see one located inside Newark Penn Station. It adds a nice touch to be able to have asian food without the need to go too far or too out of the way.

Crispy chicken was crispy on the outside and not fully cooked on the inside. A 16.9 fl oz water bottle for 3.00. Food had no taste unless the on side sauce was used.
