Welcome to mojo’s east coast eats. The taste of Philly has arrived in Downers Grove! mojo’s was concepted by Jon, from a long-standing dream, and longing for some east coast food favorites. He learned the product firsthand by grilling up cheesesteaks in Bucks County, PA. Jon has a genuine interest in sharing his love for authentic cheesesteaks (no green peppers, please) and east coast inspired fare. Try our amazing cheesesteaks with thinly sliced rib eye, melted cheese and onions (wit) on a Philadelphia Amoroso roll. Cheez Whiz (wiz) is available, just like they make ‘em back east. Our hoagies (submarines) are made with freshly sliced high quality meats and cheeses piled on Amoroso rolls.

My wife is from Philly, and we’ve visited several times since getting married – this place definitely holds its own. The bun, steak, and cheese are spot-on and instantly brought back great memories of grabbing cheesesteaks during our trips to Philadelphia. Prices are fair, and the large fries are big enough to feed four people. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be coming back!

$17 for a foot long and the tipping guilt at the counter. Anyplace you get served takeout at the counter should never ask for a tip. Am I tipping on handing me the bag? Tipping is before the service to determine level of service. The foot long weighed about 1 lb or less. Very little meat and cheese for $17

Mojo’s East Coast Eats is outstanding. The food is fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best East Coast–style sandwiches and bites you’ll find in the suburbs. Everything tastes like it was made with real care. The staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and the whole place has that great neighborhood vibe. An easy five stars.

Tried the mojo cheesesteak with white American cheese. The amount of steak was a lot less than a lot of the pictures in the reviews. Tasted good, but I felt the price wasn’t worth the amount of meat I was given.

We were craving some Philly cheesesteak. Found this place. The chipotle chicken cheesesteak was not so great, kinda off smell on the chicken maybe needed more flavoring. The cheesesteak was good. Needed more cheese whiz and more flavoring on the steak. Also you are not supposed to have lettuce and tomato on the cheesesteak, it should just be grilled onions, cheese, cheese whiz, and we’ll flavored steak, maybe some grilled peppers. The rolls were nice and soft. The fries were a bit old but it was end of the day. They had more varieties so might try again not sure.

We just had a delicious meal here! The buns are incredibly soft and tasty and are filled well. The Duke and Philly Pastrami really hit the spot and the fresh cut fries were awesome. We’ll definitely be back!

The service is great but will not be back. The amount of money we spent on two sandwiches there was no meat in the sandwich. This was the thinnest philly cheese steak that I have ever had. Will not return.
