Best onion rings I’ve ever had in my life. Huge, hand breaded, absolutely amazing. Everything else was pretty in line to your typical BBQ faire. Warning: Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich will melt your face off if you’re not a spice lover. Juicy, but the spiciest Hot Chicken I’ve ever had. TBH it probably was too spicy. Would go back but would order something different.

Had lunch here with my wife. The boom boom shrimp were out of this world. I could have ate my weight in them. We also got the “whole pig” Our sides were mac and cheese, collard greens, FF, and onion rings. All were phenomenal. As for the meats, everything was delicious, but I felt the pork was a little dry. Overall a good meal and I would go back again.

This was our first time visiting the establishment. The server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the catfish with collard greens & black eye peas/sweet potatoes & cornbread. The catfish needed more seasoning, the cornbread was dry but the greens & black eye peas was delicious. The sweet potatoes were okay and the sweet tea/lemonade needed more sugar in our opinion. Overall, the experience was good. The atmosphere was quiet & calm.

I ordered the three meat combo I only got four pieces of brisket cuz I ordered all three of the meats to be brisket they told me this would be 12 oz as you can see it doesn’t really look like that and one of the pieces was dry they also informed me that had I ordered the brisket meal and upsized it that I would have got 16 oz of meat for the price of $30 I feel like this is a rip-off but I will say the Grits were delicious for these types of prices you should be getting way more for your money I feel

The sides were the most plentiful and flavorful portions of the entire meal. Four thin strips of beef brisket…very unimpressive, as the pictures show.

Food was good, service was poor. There were only MAYBE 5 people and it took nearly 30 minutes to get our food + an additional 5 minutes when we asked for sauce/salt/etc. two sodas were 8$, and they charged a dollar for a side of ranch. Total cost for two was $65ish bucks- id expect better service for that.

Visited:: 31Mar25. I don’t know if I caught them on a slow day or what it was. My roommate has gone on and on about this place, how it’s good BBQ. Well we finally went. I’m a fair reviewer if you see my other reviews, I tell the good and the bad. Personal honest opinion. We entered and was hardly greeted, he just said how many sit wherever. There was a son and dad, a couple and the bar and us. The server then came up didn’t say her name, didn’t say I’ll be the one taking care of you etc. no enthusiasm no smile. Actually no one was. She brought us our drinks took our order. I was informed that the 2 meat platter would be enough to eat now and have some for work tomorrow. That was not the case. My roommate ordered a beer didn’t ask if she wanted another until it was gone and we were done eating. My water was empty by the time she got me a new one. She never came and asked how everything was can I get you anything etc. I asked for hot sauce for my collard greens which is fine but should have been addressed maybe when the food came out. She was too busy talking to other co workers instead of serving us. The food was alright, I’ve gotten bigger portions at Bono’s, Sonny’s or missions. Things were bland honestly. She never asked if we wanted an appetizer or dessert at the end, which is usually asked for sales purposes. The whole atmosphere was down, everyone acted like they didn’t want to be there. I watched a family get a to go order and they were hardly greeted and barely talked to. I believe it shouldn’t matter if I’m there and it’s busy or not the service and people just need to look and be enthusiastic and not look down and sad. Unsure of giving it another chance.

Truly disappointed with this experience. We came here last night and I wish I could take that time back. I should have left after the host had us standing for ten minutes to be seated but I was so hungry; mind you there were open tables and no one waiting ahead of us. She asked us to wait five minutes for her to tidy up but she stood there writing something on a clipboard. As we’re waiting a father and son come in and she tells them the same thing. When I realize that we weren’t going to be seated for a while I decided to eat at the bar. As soon as I sit the host comes from the back and seats two guys, yet the father and son who came in right after us were still waiting. Minutes pass and I look over; those two guys are already eating yet me and the father son duo haven’t even placed our orders. Now I will say that my food came out quickly but it was bland. I’m not big on bbq but I’m big on flavor and flavor this food did not have. I order that Mojo sandwich and the pork was so dry, not an ounce of bbq sauce on it and those fries were horrible. I don’t what type of potatoes they use or the oil it’s fried in but schools give better fries. I would never come back or recommend anyone. The bartender is the only reason why I gave two stars

Good food, service and environment. Beautiful old school Florida area that is relatively preserved from modernization. Outside seating is a covered patio and a nice separation from the sidewalk (people are not walking between tables here). The smells outside this place pulled us in and it didn’t disappoint on any angle.
