My girlfriend and I ended up having dinner at this restaurant where we got food poisoning from the meat we were served. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, it took a bit before the only server sat us. Upon this, our server barely took our order and walked away as to basically say “I’ll order for you”. After serving our food she only came back to give us our check. The service and food were appalling but the atmosphere wasn’t horrible. Honestly you could tell the restaurant wasn’t the main activity they were using the space for (seemed like a party venue turned restaurant when not in use). I wouldn’t recommend anything with meat at this restaurant since we were either throwing up or going to the bathroom all throughout the night and next day.

I came here a few years ago and the food was amazing. Decided to drive 5 hrs down to miami today to handle some business and stopped to buy two plates, silly me the biggest waste of money on food i ever made in my life. This restaurant is a great disgrace to Nigeria and a disappointment to the Nigerians in the diaspora , to any Nigerian coming here dont be fooled. They tell you they make it fresh but it tasted like it was days old with oil seeping all over the pack. The jollof rice is tasteless, the stew is also tasteless, the so called assorted meat tasted spoilt/rotten and did not have an ounce of seasoning or salt. Worst place i ever spent 40 something dollars. If you value your money and appetite please check other places in the area. I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy .

The food wasn’t bad, just not the best I ever had you know? I must say the soup(forgot what kind it was but I know it was a fish based one) was well seasoned along with the fish, my only problem was how spicy the food was!!!! Mouth was on fire to say the least lol but maybe my heat tolerance is pretty low cause I don’t eat spicy foods often. But I have the rest to my mother and she loved it haha. The fufu was simple and got the job done.

First time I’m having a meal that’s so close to home. Music by Chief Commander playing in the background makes the meal taste so good

That is a $24 egusi with poundo, first took two hours but who in their right mind will cool that for a person? Assorted soup but loaded with chicken? You African restaurant ms abroad are just wicked. If someone cooks this for you in Nigeria, will you eat it? What nonsense. Jollof rice tasteless, the moi moi that cost almost $10 is tasteless, soggy and laced with pepper, egusi soiled in red oil and stew, don’t even see egusi. Waste of $80. Your cooking sucks and you know it. I felt sick eating this because I am traveling and had no choice smh

This place was GOOD. We came here on a Friday night and I love how homey it felt. It’s a cute mom and pop shop- the food took awhile to come out but they make everything fresh so it’s worth the wait.

This place was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and service was quick. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re ever in North Miami and looking to try some delicious West African food. The vegetable soup and fufu was incredible, Egusi soup was also great and last but not least, the Jollof rice with meat was delicious. Definitely a place to try.

Went today for the first time, great service and food. Was not sure what to get and the gentleman there recommended several items. Chef/Owner came out at the end and asked how everything was and was very friendly . Food was amazing, will definitely go again.
