Really wanted to give this place 5 stars but was slightly let down by the wait for my food. The wife’s food meal out first and it was a 10 minute wait later until my food arrived. However, service and quality of food were really good. The outdoor setting is beautiful and you don’t feel like you’re next to a freeway! The fried cauliflower chips are scrumptious!

Nice outdoor seating area…they have water mist along the wall and feels nice on a hot day. Food was good and drinks were perfect. Service was wonderful!

Went to celebrate our daughters 24 birthday first time being at the Grove for a dining experience. I just would like to say the bar served some excellent drinks that the family enjoyed as well as the many choices of desserts to choose from. You must go see the place “Grove” has a great outdoor patio to enjoy a delicious meal and that’s what our party of 6 did a great selection of food to choose from. Playing games and complimentary cotton candy was a nice touch and it was for free. Good job staff members for a night to remember.

Do not organize parties or family events at The Grove – everyone is disorganized, in a bad mood, and not custmer oriented. BAD Service all around.
Usually The Grove is excellent. Today the service was 1-2 star.
Organization and opening on time
The chefs and cooks arrived late and were disorganized. The menu was limited when the doors opened at 11am. We called several time the week leading up to our visit to celebrate 75th Birthday Brunch. We asked prior to arriving if we could bring a cake as we have done years past. The staff conveyed to us on several occasions that we could bring a cake. When we arrived at 10am, per staff, we were told the doors open at 11am.
We waited one hour. Once doors opened, a guy told us we could not bring the cake inside. These people are so disorganized.
The wood fired oven was not turned on before opening doors so we could not order pizza.
The cooks did not have breakfast or brunch items available.
The BBQ sauces were not available and the cooks or kitchen staff could not find any sauces.
Menu – cooks and staff did not know what was available from menu. Cooks were in a horrible mood from the time we arrived (early) until we ordered.
The food came out luke warm. The pickles on the plates were old, not crunchy, and smelled wierd.
The BBQ was ok to good. The fried food was soggy and not to par with previous visits.
The cocktails were a 5 star and made to order.
Atmosphere is 5 star and beautiful. However, the food and service are not good.
The Grove is more suited as bar and coktail lounge. Food is a 1 star. Service is 1 star. Staff are not customer-centric.

Update 8/4/18:
I came here again with my family for dinner, and yet again the food continued to be amazing! My skirt steak was cooked just right and paired nicely with the strawberry beet salad and a pint of Brewery twenty five Garza IPA. They have delicious chips, made with seasonal cauliflower. Everything came out nicely and quick. They also have a fine dessert selection, especially their macaron ice cream sandwiches and pots de creme.
This place has an amazing ambiance whether inside or out. At night, they have heat lamps and firepits on the middle of the outdoor tables. They have a good selection of local brews and drinks to enjoy with your food. They focus on a farm to table style menu so their menu constantly changes. No matter what you order, you will be pleased at the fresh ingredients that they use. Not to mention, they also have a good selection of vegan dishes to choose from. Very good experience overall!

Beautiful little restaurant with a slightly rustic atmosphere serving farm fresh dishes. Has a lovely romantic patio area. And the desserts are so creative!

Chef Matt and assistant Hector did a terrific job with our food. The carne asada fries were to die for! Loved the chicken wings too, not greasy at all and cooked well with whatever rub they use, didn’t even need sauce. The pizza was great also we got the meat one and was done perfectly. The watermelon sugar drink hit the spot after a long day. This is a spot worth coming to again and again. The atmosphere was super lively and the only thing that would have made it much better is if we had gone on a day that a live band was playing. Thank you Team at The Grove!!

Nice outdoor dining with a DJ. Limited, but good menu, with sushi, pizzas, nice appetizers, and salads. I had the carnitas pizza and added pepperoni and grilled chicken. Yum! We went as a party of 5 and enjoyed three appetizers: honey-glazed Brussels sprouts, street corn guacamole, and tempura-battered vegetable. All were great. My wife and I enjoyed a couple glasses of their Leal Pinot. Very nice wine. My pizza unfortunately came about 15 or so minutes after everyone else’s food, but that was my only complaint. Highly recommended.

Just on the outskirts of Hollister you will find this amazing gem! The Grove offers delightful appetizers like their Poblano Dip, Street Corn Guac and delectable dishes like the Fiesta Bowl, and Shortie Rice! Each dip comes with a tray of crispy savory chips to share with the entire table.
The cooks are magicians because the food came out so quickly which was great because we were ravenous. The atmosphere is also so charming and family friendly.
I’m so glad to have this restaurant in my new home town without having to drive to San Jose. Absolutely highly recommended and will be going back for more.
