Took out a burger and a Belgian waffle. The burger was $20 with bacon that looked two weeks old and fries tasting of bad grease. The waffle was disgusting for $11.95. It was brown inside, so dry it fell apart, and tasted like sawdust…no taste of waffle whatsoever. Threw $12 in the trash. Who messes up a simple waffle? The woman was so rude when I went to the car to get cash because “the bank” was charging the credit card fee. Yep, right. $35 later, what used to be a nice place with decent food 15 years ago, is now a dump with nasty people working there and disgusting food while being as pricey as a 4 star restaurant. They wouldn’t even give me a receipt! Never again!

Was turned away by the snooty steakhouse down the way to our betterment! Service was superb and friendly. Food was cooked to order (no suspicious wait time here) and phenoms! Kicker – there was a Mazarati sitting in this dinners parking lot… shows that you should never judge a book by its cover.

The place is good, but needs work. The waitress had very little patience for us. She wanted to rush us with ordering (the place was empty). We ordered first for my son. We did it right away because he was hungry. She immediately wanted to take our drink order, but I said I needed a minute. She almost bark at me.
I ordered Greek salad with gyro meat. The portion was big, and the salad was good. It would have been perfect if I hadn’t had to re chop the lettuce. The pieces were big, the salad was difficult to eat. The meat was delicious, but I almost cracked a tooth with the olives. Pitted olives would have been better (just a suggestion). My husband ordered lamb. He says it was just ok. The portion was on the smaller size. We ordered chicken fingers for my son. He liked it and they looked good, not frozen.
We have to return our wine, a fly landed on it. We couldn’t even talk without having bugs flying around us. They need to solve this. Maybe their plants are attracting bugs. I’m not sure if we will comeback.

Every Sunday, my family and I go out to eat and happen to be in the area and choose the Mohegan Lake Diner. Unfortunately, the diner did not meet our expectations based on previous visits. In the past, everything was great on the 4-5/5 level, though after our last visit on Sunday the 23rd, we were met with some dissatisfaction with our service. We had an inconsistency with who our server was, there were no refills even offered, and in addition to that, part of the order was wrong, normally, I do not complain about a place, but what this place did was the forced upon tip on our receipt. They forced a 20%tip on my parents and me, which is outrageous for three people. On top of that, when we asked for a customer copy of the receipt, we were denied a copy, and all I have is a picture of their menu claiming that they can just add a tip to whomever they felt like doing it to and the absence of a notice on their entrance door. As for this establishment’s information and future reference, I did look into customer service laws and found that tipping and how much of a tip, if any, is completely up to the customer. Not saying that we wouldn’t have tipped, but we did not appreciate the forced tip. We will not be coming back until we hear that the issue has been resolved and that there is something done about the blonde old lady’s behavior towards my parents.

Overall not a bad Diner … the staff were great … especially the waitress that used to have a bar and wasnt a bartender but made my drink was fabulous Darla I think her name was…The food.. my Calamari didn’t come out how I expected it to be.. a bit soggy and the portion kinda small but my girl’s shrimp was ok even got an additional order to go… I’ll be back as I have to be in that area at times.
