Food was prepared well and served hot. Wait staff was friendly. Did not need to wait long. A little pricy for what it is, but didn’t feel like bad about the bill. Got the cheese cake and carrot cake to go. Those were winners!

The cuisine was mediocre, while the service was exceptional. Menu items seemed overpriced. I opted for the Parmesan Crusted Walleye, and my wife chose the flat bread. We sampled each other’s dishes, only to be underwhelmed by the Walleye. The cornbread accompanying my meal was the highlight, albeit the portion was small. Ambiance was pleasant. This restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so we visited on a Sunday evening. During our three-day resort stay, we discovered an outstanding restaurant, Cascade Restaurant, merely 10 minutes north. Their breakfast and lunch offerings were consistently excellent and reasonably priced.

Had a tasty lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Tried a few appetizers. Cheese curds were a hit as well as the Walleye Cakes. Enjoyed a Philly Sandwich and the Bacon burger was great for the boys. Will visit again when back for a visit.

We both had the chicken which came with mashed potatoes and gravy and brussel sprouts. We both felt the chicken was average, but, the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were delicious. The corn bread was by far my favorite. Our friend has the Parmesan Crusted Walleye and she said it was delicious. It was outstanding. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice.

3 people, $150. The burger was incredibly “average”, if not below. My friend’s meatballs were terrible. Our waitress was nowhere to be found (I had to ask other people for water refills, our hostess brought me the 2nd refill) and the beer took 35 minutes to get to our table, after we were done eating. No one offered my friend for a refill on the Pepsi. By the way, it was maybe 10% full seating wise.
Long story short, the food was below-basic, the waiting service was horrible, the prices are high, and I would not recommend this place.

Dessert and location were great. The not so great was my smoked chicken tasted like fish, and not just a hint of fish. My son ordered a steak rare and was told that wasn’t possible. Needless to say, the chef found a way.

Did not know a reservation was required, but it was no problem. Got sat right away, and Anthony was an amazing server!! If you’re going to Lutsen, you have to get dinner here. Just an amazing restaurant overall!!

Awesome spot at Lutsen. Great staff/service, great food at an affordable price, “big” kids meals were only $6. Compared to Papa Charlie’s this place is a knockout. We will definitely be back at our next ski trip. Thank you so much!
