I perused the other reviews to see if I was the only one who experienced awesome (one of the best I’ve had) pizzas, but below par service. It’s great to start your own business, but we all need to be trained – in all areas. The comments and ratings you get can make or break your business. That being said, here is my review on my visit last weekend:
I was born & raised in the heart of Dallas but lived in Celina for 1 year, ten years ago. Recently my grandkids were visiting & we drove out there to see how the town has changed. They wanted to eat here, so we walked in with our masks on. There were 3-4 teens working there. None wore masks & none bothered putting them on when we arrived. That made me uneasy, still not sure why I didn’t turn around and leave or tell them to put them on.
We ordered a large pizza with everything on it, drinks and a manicotti for me to take home. I didn’t know where anything was like cutlery, napkins, etc. My grandson went hunting & found them in the back. One of the girls brought our pizza to us & was pleasant, but when I got up later to look for a togo box, I couldn’t see any of the workers.
The pizza itself was amazing, tons of cheese & fresh ingredients. The manicotti was too salty, barely edible.
Many places these days hire teens – I’m very much in favor of that – I have teen grands looking for work. But I feel an adult should always be onsite. It just gives credibility to the place.

My family is new to Celina and had never been here, so we wanted to try Mogio’s Pizza last night. We had just finished with soccer practice and were heading home to get my little ones in bed. We had 3 hungry kids (ages 7, 5, & 2), so excited Mom and Dad were getting pizza on a Monday (not usual for us). We got to Mogio’s at about 6:40 pm and walked in to order take-out. I am a pretty patient person and have worked many years in the restaurant business so the little things didn’t bother me so much. There were 2 ladies working and it took a little bit for someone to get to the counter, but they were working and cleaning so that’s ok. The lady who rang me up let me order the XTRA LARGE ONE TOPPING pizza for $14.99 + tax, when the XTRA LARGE TWO TOPPING pizza was on special for 12.49 + tax, but even that didn’t bother me too much. The other lady came up to help refund the difference and add the 2nd topping, and apologized for everything, and said the pizza would be ready in about 7 minutes. So we were good up to this point.

I was about to get out of my car to go back in for the pizza when one of the ladies brought it out to me. That was very nice of her. As she handed me the box I thought it felt really light-weight for an xtra large 2 topping pizza. I got in the car and opened the box and was beyond disappointed at how small this pizza was. I saw pictures online of a Mogio’s pizza in front of a little girl that was about the same size as our pizza. Surely her parent didn’t order her an xtra large pizza. It was getting late for a school night so no time to go back in and complain, plus kids were already getting impatient. I just spent $13.50 on a pizza and was going to have to prepare something else to go with it as it would not feed our family of 5 (like a family size Papa Murphy’s for $13 would). Two of the pieces had the crust black and burnt. The flavors were OK but honestly I was so bent out of shape about the size and crust quality, I couldn’t enjoy it. I was so excited to try something that wasn’t a chain restaurant pizza and I wished I hadn’t wasted our time and money. After reading other reviews it appears the owners don’t care to respond, so I am at least posting this for others to read who might be considering going there. Don’t waste your money…or get something other than pizza.

Pizza was very good, but the service was a bit slow. Other than that, I had a good experience! I ordered the King’s Deluxe and it was superb. I’ll have to come back and try their coffee.

The food was really good, I’m assuming most of their business is take out or delivery. Place was virtually deserted on a Friday evening. Bunch of teenagers taking orders and answering phones. The pizzas where both very tasty and the beef ravioli was great. It’s byob so that’s nice also. Wish they had more atmosphere, seems like it could be a good place to hang out and relax.

Update: Decided that since my only issues with this place originally stemmed from poor delivery I would go in person to pick up a fresh pizza that way if it’s cold it’s my own fault. Walked in and was immediately met with an attitude from the girl there and was told that they didn’t have any dough prepared……. At 5:30pm on a Monday night they don’t have pizza dough prepared…. Oh well I figured I made the stop may as well wait, how long do you think before they can get some dough prepared and get a pizza going for me, an hour and a half maybe 2. I was floored how can you possibly run a pizza business with such poor customer service the owner must not be around very often for these kids to have such a bad attitude and be so poorly managed.

Don’t order delivery, consistently cold and messed up orders. Very good pizza when it’s hot and fresh but doesn’t come that way when delivered. Also don’t expect your order to be correct several times the dressings ordered for salads were not correct or missing.

Glad to see the new owner at this location. Knew him when he had a location in Gunter. Loved his pizza then and now. Wife and I agree, he has the best crust and the choice toppings to make his pizza the best. During warm weather we eat in covered patio and bring along some wine or beer.

Pizza was good but we came at 1115 am on a Monday and they said they were out of wings. Then asked for sweet tea and they said they were out of that too. The staff was friendly but to be out of both, first thing after opening was a bit outlandish. The dining room floor and tables had crumbs but there weren’t any other customers in the restaurant and they opened at 11am

I have no idea what some of these not so great reviews are all about. This place has become our go to restaurant in town. We literally order something new off the menu each order, and we are constantly surprised at how good it is. If you are looking for basic run-of-the-mill franchise style pizza, this might not be the place for you. If your tastes are a little more elevated and you’d like something a little higher quality, you need to check this place out.

Just venting. (Because speaking with a manager didn’t do me any good)
We ordered a large order from Magios , one of the pizzas I ordered was delivered wrong so I called. I wasn’t mad. Just wanted to let them know. They said they would deliver the correct pizza. 5 min later the manager calls and asks what happened so I tell him again. He doesn’t say “ok thank you, it’s on the way….” nothing. He just hangs up on me! 20 minutes later they show up with the pizza and demand to come “look at what they originally delivered to verify we were telling the truth”

Are you kidding me???? This will be the last time they get my business. I understand human error but don’t you dare demand to come in my kitchen when I have a house full of guests to demand anything. The most outrageous pizza delivery I’ve ever experienced.

Never again.
