Oh. My. Goodness! This food is amazing. I ordered a few things because I wanted to be able to sample a few favs (of mine) but I had no idea they all would be this good. The fried pork was freshly cooked, evenly seasoned and yes juicy! The plantains cooked (well fried to perfection ) and the rice was moist and brand tender. My new fav!

We stopped in because we were in the mood for some Puerto Rican food. To enter the restaurant you must go down the set of stairs. Proceed to the counter where you can place your order and you can seat yourself as your food is then brought to you. I ordered the beef empanada and the relleno de papa. Both of them were good. For our meal I had the carne frita with mofongo and my girlfriend had the pastelón. Both were very good and flavorful.

Authentic, delicious Puerto Rican cuisine. The pork Pernil Trifongo was out of this world. The Steak trifongo was really good as well. The amount of food, insane. I ordered delivery and its taste as if it was right out of the kitchen. Can’t wait to go back!

I stumbled onto this spot and I was not disappointed by what I found!! First off the atmosphere give you that backyard island vibe.. the ambiance is that of a tropical paradise…when you fist open the door your greeted by the music, immediately you want to start dancing .. then you go downstairs to this softly lit basement restaurant.. the food smells amazing, and you are greeted by what looks to be a father and daughter owner…very beautiful young lady by the way. But everything is clean, food looks well prepared and your order is taken right away. Prices are a bit high for the portions but I can tell the food is cooked with all that Latin love…I’d definitely recommend this establishment for that back home latin flavor… thanks Mofongo. This is a hidden gem in the neighborhood and if you blink you’ll miss out…

The food is why you go toto MofonGo, or order from them. Just the same. Actually, the MofonGo was a little dry but with the acoutramon it balanced that issue. That being said the portions are great and they actually paid attention to the instructions for my delivery, when I ordered door dash. I gave it three stars maybe unfairly because I actually didn’t eat there but it didn’t seem like a place I’d feel great about sitting because there was no one there. It was a bright vibrant place, and maybe that’s what someone on a so what incognito or romantic date might want. Actually maybe it was because it was on floor down from street level. That must be tough to manage. For the owners. You know what I’ll go there to eat and update this review because I want to be fair. Overall, I gave them five stars but it’s hard to get that if I’m not totally blown away. Nevertheless I recommend MofonGo to anyone reading this review.

Extremely disappointed with our first visit to Mofonfo Restaurant. The 3-chicharrón Trifongo was dry and poorly prepared. The fried sweet plantains were unpleasant, the rice and peas on top made no sense, and the chicken chicharrón was dry as well. I’ve had much better Trifongo elsewhere. Total waste of money

My husband is usually picky but everything was so darn delicious. I had the yellow rice with the shredded pork shoulder!!! My husband had the white rice with pollo adobado and beans! We also had 2 empanadas one beef n cheese and the other chicken n cheese. My husband is hard to please food wise but he was in love with the food.!!!

The place has alot of potential, but the food was so bland, and we found a hair in it. Ewww. I discreetly told the girl and she said I shouldve told her and she wouldve changed it. No thank you. Music was nice, but they embarrassed me as a puerto Rican myself lol
