I’ll admit it — I used to be a true-hearted Chipotle person. Fully loyal. No question about it. But after my experience today at Moe’s in downtown Norfolk, that chapter is officially closed.
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, upbeat, and fun. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generous, but what completely won me over was the amazing service from Leslie — the phenomenal server with the puppy paw tattoo. When I jokingly told her I was a die-hard Chipotle fan, she smirked and said, “We don’t say the ‘C’ word here,” and that moment alone set the tone for an unforgettable experience. ( That SO needs to go on a t-shirt).
Leslie’s energy, humor, and genuine care instantly changed my mindset. She made the experience feel personal, fun, and welcoming — not just another fast-casual stop. Between her outstanding service and the quality of the food, I realized I didn’t miss Chipotle at all.
Moe’s has officially earned my loyalty. From now on, this is where my business is going. Exceptional food, phenomenal service, and people like Leslie who make you actually want to come back — that’s how you win customers for life.

I have heard good things about Moe’s and I was running errands and realized I hadn’t eaten so I decided to pop in and give it a try.
Everybody there was very pleasant and helpful. The food was okay. The rice and the beans were a little underdone but it was still good. While in line everybody was raving about the to-go meal kit boxes for groups and parties so I’ll give them a try another time

The place looked cool compared to any moes I’ve been in. But, when I came in to order the two girls were just staring at me. No hello, No welcome, No response at all. So I end up just telling them I wanted a bowl and they served with attitude.

I ordered from here on the Moes app and when my food was delivered there was no salsa and no drink. It’s not the 1st, 2nd, or even the 5th time I’d ordered from there and not gotten my salsa but i paid for the drink so i called up there to let them know and see what could be done.
I talked to Crystal on the phone and she was so nice. She said to take pictures of my order and to come up there and speak to the manager Will.
I came up there after work and brought the food with me (didn’t want to eat it without salsa). Will was at the register and Crystal was still there. Crystal took my food and had it remade fresh. Will gave me two drinks to replace the one I didn’t get. I was able to grab some salsa from the salsa bar. And Will gave me some cookies to give my kids when I got home.
Their entire staff from the moment i walked in to the second i left were so kind to me and made sure i had everything i needed. I appreciate them all so much.

I haven’t been impressed with Moe’s restaurants the last couple of times I have tried them over the years. This was my first time at this location and I can say I was pleased.
The serving size for the nachos was great. The chips were just ok but the queso and toppings made up for it.
I did mine with the corn , Black beans and adobo chicken.

What happened??? I really use to like Moe’s. Rice uncooked and rock hard. Everything soaked in lime juice and the queso and chicken are cold. How is that even possible at opening? You just cooked it
