BEWARE
If you look at 90% of the most recent reviews for this establishment you’ll see that they’re overwhelmingly negative and rightfully so. This Moe’s location has a few issues but the one that’s most alarming to me is the behavior of its owner Ed. I’ve lived in Fairfax for years and have rarely met such arrogant people but this man takes the cake. The only way he won’t be rude to a customer is if they are ordering lots and putting money into his pocket and even then he might still get rude with you at the register. I’ve come to this location many times and have dealt with Ed on numerous occasions but after my most recent I am inclined to stay away. I was ordering a couple burritos and my server was a young kid. He was very friendly and accommodating so I tried to tip him at the register but not using the screen as I know from a previous visit that employees don’t receive the tips from the Jar or system. So I hand this kid a $20 when he comes to the salsa bar and Ed watches like a creep from the hallway of the bathroom. Afterwards I hear him giving this kid a lecture in the kitchen about not accepting tips and immediately putting them in the jar even though I gave it to him personally after I got my order. Ed hammers on this poor guy while the other employees stay quiet in fear. This is not how you run an establishment Ed and you should be ashamed of yourself for constantly berating your employees. Like I said this isn’t the first time I have witnessed your horrid behavior but hopefully it’s my last. You know I’m a Jewish man yet I fully believe Ed is more deserving of the greedy stereotype.

My overall message to Fairfax residents is that when you’re in the Fairfax Blvd area you avoid Moe’s Southwest Grill because you’re supporting a vile man who demeans those who work for him and those he views as not worth his time and kindness!

I had a very concerning experience at this Moe’s location and won’t be returning.
Beware of food poisoning and poor food handling!!

I arrived around Friday Jan 16 at 8:15pm, and despite the restaurant supposedly being open until 9:00pm, it already felt like they were shutting down for the night. Staff appeared rushed and disengaged, and the food on the line looked suspect, particularly the vegetables and steak.

I ordered a steak stack, but while ordering I had serious doubts about the freshness and temperature of the ingredients. Given how early they seemed to be closing down, I’m not confident that proper food safety and holding protocols were being followed.

Unfortunately, after eating, I became severely ill with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. This was not a minor issue as it made me ill and significantly disrupted my plans and required a full weekend of recovery.

This experience raises real concerns about food handling and safety standards at this location, especially late in the evening. I strongly urge management to review closing procedures and food preservation practices.

I would caution others about dining here.

BEWARE: Do not eat at this moes. Food hard no flavor they cook the steak in boiled water . They tried to serve wilted brown lettuce . And when I asked about they acting like it was a problem. I was picking up lunch for a co worker clap I cancelled my order and picked up the one for my coworker . When she tried ate it she said it was terrible steak had no flavor and tasted old. When I called to complain I was hung up on twice then told the manager was not available . And then when I called back he was magically available he said his name was Ed . Made excuses told me I was the only one complaining about the food. Terrible customer and told me of if I wanted a refund to bring the food back . Which I will be doing also reporting this nasty place to the health department

YUMMY!
Kept driving by this place on my way to the gym and they were never officially open. Finally got to lay my hands on a bowl of spicy adobo chicken and it was very delicious. Upon entering all the staff greeted us and were very kind through out the whole process. The seating and tables were very clean and the place is beautiful with a nice view. And to my surprise kids eat free Sundays?! Unfortunately ate my food to quick before taking pictures Would definitely recommend for a quick cheap bite.

I stopped by Moe’s since I was in the area and hadn’t been there since my last visit to Fairfax, which was also disappointing. Paying $18.00 for a simple meal is ridiculous. The food was overly salty, dry, and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. I only paid to get out of there quickly. I’ve been to the Moe’s in Chantilly and have never been charged $18.00 for a meal.

WELCOME TO MOE’S! From the minute you step inside to the end, you enjoy good service, good food and helpful staff. The nachos were delicious, with just the right amount of toppings. The bowl was perfect with fresh ingredients, nothing was too overpowering. Oh and you have a large selection of drinks, whatever your heart desires. Kids also eat free on Sundays, so bring down the family for a fresh meal at Moe’s.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The owner was rude and unprofessional toward customers, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The service felt dismissive, and it didn’t seem like customer satisfaction was a priority.
The food quality was also disappointing. What I received did not taste fresh, and some items seemed stale based on my experience. Overall, the food and service did not meet expectations.
Because of these issues, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The chicken is so dry and old, employee was on the phone the entire time, never washed their hands and didn’t offer me any sides or drinks. I used to work at moes when I was younger and I was so excited when I saw there was one close to my new place. I gave them two tries and unfortunately today was the last

This place really just needs to close. My last experience was truly awful. They had some clearly brand new hire who had no idea how to make a burrito. He put the tortilla in the heating press for less than a second, dolled out 1/4 portions, and struggled every step of the way while the owner was watching. I ended up with a cold miniature burrito that I took one bite of and threw away. Not only will I never be returning to this location, the entire franchise is dead to me
