This is a typical BBQ restaurant/bar in downtown Rome. It had indoor and outdoor seating and is near the river walking trail. A great location to hang out to watch a game on the big screens and bring the kids.
The food was good. We did ribs, pulled pork, baked beans and potatoes salad. Everything had great flavor but smoke was missing. It still is worth the visit and service is quick and kind.

Stopped in after the lunch crowd had ended. It was a little confusing as to whether you seat yourself, wait to be seated or place your order and then choose a seat. We ended up just sitting in the bar area at one of the high top tables. It took several minutes to be acknowledged and have our order taken even though dining traffic was light, but the food options are great and the food was really good. The atmosphere was moderate, as we were the only ones in the bar area except for walkups ordering drinks. The food came out quickly once our order was put in and it arrived hot and tasty. I would definitely go again. The decor is fun to look at and can definitely spark a conversation. Overall it was a very good experience.

We loved dining in at “Moe’s Original Bar B Que” in Rome, GA, which was highly recommended by our family who live in the area. It was SO GOOD, that we came back for another night! Tonnes of outdoor seating, indoor seating booths and seating around the bar. Restrooms clean and spacious. Great for families, couples, individuals and (girls/lads) night outs. Friendly staff. We had platters with two sides. First time round I tried the chicken with mac and cheese and banana pudding. Second time round I had the smoked wings. The Ribs were great, worth trying out. Gutted at the second visit, as the fish option had sold out. We visited first time over the weekend, during the weekday – it was busier! Jammed packed! Definitely will come back when in Rome! There is a car park nearby which is always busy. There’s parking on the main road, where you can walk to the restaurant.

People are nice, but the food is nothing special; the pulled pork had a lot of fat, and the beans were not edible. The potatoes were good. If you want this kind of food, go to Shane’s.

This is one our favorite restaurants in the area…….actually, this is one of our favorite bbq restaurants anywhere. It’s consistently very good. The staff are always very helpful, there are a lot of sides to choose from (I haven’t tried many of the sides, because I always get the baked beans). The rib sandwich is delicious……Anne loves their salad. The atmosphere is great……beautiful exposed brick with lots of tables. Everything is clean and squared away. Tyson is one of the owners…….he’s there and happy to help. This is a locals place……and we are happy to be a part. Thank you to all the very hard working staff at Moe’s.

Food was good, the baked beans and pulled pork were great. The slaw was just ok. Bathrooms are clean and the atmosphere is good. Outdoor seating is available.

The quaint ole rustic building is an appetizer to the interior decor. Food is plentiful, seasoned, and tasty. Had the pork sandwich which was a handful. They have option of southern sweet or Carolina vineger sauces. Since it has no sauce or leans to the dry side. I paired it with a mound of seasoned fries and pepper seasoned baked beans. Look forward to trying the ribs.

I had the pulled pork plate which came with cornbread and two sides ($11). The pulled pork was not terrible, but it had no smoke flavor at all and was a little toward the dry side. It was also not hot – just room temperature. I got my plate with okra and baked beans. The okra was excellent – hot, not too much breading and very good flavor. I also really like the baked beans. The consistency was great. The flavor was very nice – not too much spice, just right. The plate came with a sliver of cornbread. Had I known it was going to be sweet cornbread, I would’ve gone with the sandwich special instead. The cornbread was ok (if you like dessert cornbread), but also a little on the dry side.
This is not a full service restaurant. You place you order at the counter and they give you cups and a number for your table. They also prompt you to leave a tip which presumably goes to the person who walks to your table and drops off your food. You don’t see that person again.

The food was really good and the white suace is some of the best I have ever had. The bar also had a good selection of drinks that are not your run of the mill selections.
