I recently ordered from her restaurant through Grubhub twice, but for some reason, the order was canceled both times. Instead of letting it go, she took the initiative to ask for my address and delivered the food to my house herself—unbelievable! As a business owner, I know that is truly going the extra mile. Ordered via uber eat, I got Efo Elegusi and poundo, it was well seasoned . The poundo was not too hard, meat was eat to eat , and the stew was not spicy. So, really good ear overall.

Very fresh food and authentic Nigerian food. Fufu is very fresh and fluffy. The owner Modupe is very helpful with suggestions on what to try if you never tried it before. This is a great place that you must try and it’s a gem in Newark! I loved the fried sweet plantains bc they were perfectly ripe and soft and sweet. She takes very careful care to make the food top notch. Parking is free on the street.

Enjoyed eating here. My family and I visited New Jersey from Maryland and found this restaurant via google search. The lady who attended to us was extremely welcoming and her customer service was top notch. The food was delicious and her price is reasonable. We ordered poundo yam and egusi, white rice and designer stew, fried rice, jollof rice and everything was delicious.

First time I came I had Ayamase with rice n plantains so delicious the spice is perfect because I love ️ ! Came back had mixed meats beef chicken goat egusi w/ her pounded yam. Her food is made freshly. She’s constantly in the kitchen cheffing up delicious fresh Nigerian food. I’ll be back for mashed beans plaintain with bread. Sooo delicious!!! We will definitely be returning! Modupe, the owner and chef is the sweetest and seriously such a good cook! We asked her what her favorite foods were to order and she said she will make us a couple different things to try, we loved each and every one! We had egusi & fufu (fufu was perfect texture), spinach stew, and rice with plantains and goat. We will definitely be returning and recommend it to anyone looking for the best fufu and egusi in New Jersey!
