Wings, thai tea, korean coffee were fire.
The ramens had nice soft beef. However the broth was bland so we didn’t end up finishing them.

Love that the place is halal. We didn’t wait at all. We were seating between two couples, so it was hard to focus on my conversation because of the proximity of the tables. Would come again for the wings. 10% discount if you use cash

I recently tried Modoo Chicken & Noodle Bar, and overall it was a solid and enjoyable experience. There were definitely some standout dishes along with a few that were just okay.

The chicken katsu was excellent—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with great flavor. It was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The boneless thigh and wings were also excellent, perfectly fried with great seasoning and texture. If you’re craving good Korean-style fried chicken, Modoo definitely delivers on that front.

The beef spicy stir-fried udon, however, was just okay. It had good spice and decent flavor, but it didn’t have the same level of depth or excitement as the other dishes. It wasn’t bad—just nothing memorable compared to the rest.

The biggest surprise of the night was the strawberry matcha, which was truly beyond excellent. Refreshing, balanced, and unique, it’s the kind of drink I’d come back for on its own.

Service was decent, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Overall, Modoo is a good spot with some standout items. I’d definitely return for the fried chicken and that incredible strawberry matcha.

We were skeptical to dine in as wasn’t sure about their halal status. We were really happy to see their menu as it clearly says zabiha halal, they also have halal certifications on display.

Ambiance was good. It wasn’t that busy. We had
bulgogi loaded fries
Spicy Beef Ramen
Udon noodle
Sizzling cheese chicken

And blue lemonade, One orange drink and Japanese Soda.

Everything was good. Would be coming back to explore their menu.

Overall ambiance was good. They do have covered outside sitting along few tables inside. Restaurant appeared clean, staff was attentive, friendly and co-operative.

We were able to find parking upfront, not sure how the parking would be on busy days though.

This place was okay, but a bit inconsistent. The bulgogi was alright, though the beef wasn’t as savory as other versions I’ve tried. The chicken katsu was also just fine—nothing special. The kimchi was stale, didn’t have that burst of flavor. The real standout was the wings; they were juicy, well-cooked, and a good size. I’d definitely recommend ordering those if you come here.

One odd note was that the utensils and glasses were all plastic. For the setting, it felt a little out of place. It gave cheap and tacky. I hope management improves this.

Went for Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was great, and though it’s a small place, it has some lovely outdoor seating as well. The food is consistently amazing; I’ve never been disappointed. The staff are always humble and friendly. However, during my visit, there was only one person working, managing guests and serving food all by herself, which felt overwhelming. I highly recommend having at least two staff members to ensure a smoother dining experience.

The food and drinks were amazing. The size of the place is small compared to most restaurants, but it gives homey vibes. Very calm and refreshing. I love how the vibe is very chill and not overstimulating. The staff is amazing and very accommodating, the wait for the food was not long. This place gets busy, so if you want to eat go in advance to put your name on the waitlist because if it gets full they stop taking reservations. I didn’t know that but they were still able to let me dine in! The only thing I would say is they added an 18% tip to the bill and the sign said thats for parties of 5 or more, and I had a party of 4, however it was not a big problem since we still got to eat without a reservation, and we finished after their scheduled closing time.

This place really hits, especially on a cold night. Every dish is packed with flavor, and the bulgogi udon? It’ll bring out your inner Korean—WOOOO! I’ve been here multiple times, and nearly everything on the menu is a treat. Just beware if you order spicy make sure your taste buds could handle it. Best of all, it’s halal. Definitely worth a try!

First time finding a halal Korean place in New York City! Always wanted to try Korean cuisine so we were overjoyed to find Moodoo. The service was amazing! The waitress was super cooperative and made us feel at home. She was really kind and kept checking up on us. The atmosphere was cozy and enjoyable. There are two tvs playing relaxing videos, which kept us entertained. Overall, I loved this place and hopefully will come back again soon!

I have to say, the halal food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious—ALHAMDULILLAH, it was really good! The flavors were on point, and it’s definitely something I’d order for delivery again.

However, my experience was soured by a couple of issues. First, I was surprised to see an 18% tip added to my bill without prior consent. I understand tipping is common, but it should be made clear upfront. Second, when I asked for spicy sauce, they gave me spicy mayo but charged an additional $2 without mentioning it. That felt a bit dishonest, as I wasn’t informed of the extra charge beforehand.
So while the food was great, I left feeling frustrated by the unexpected charges. It’s unfortunate because these practices made me feel like they’re more focused on making money than providing a transparent, customer-friendly experience. I’d recommend ordering delivery, but I’d definitely think twice about dining in. Unfortunately, this will be a negative review from me.
