I was really impressed with this place, it definitely lives up to the social media hype. The atmosphere is nice, they really put some money into the interior, the food was beyond excellent, definitely the best pizza I’ve ever had and pasta in a cheese wheel just can’t be beat. Their service was excellent super attentive staff, I would highly recommend checking it out. I also thought it was well priced for what you get. I will definitely be back!

Moderna feels like an upscale restaurant with very affordable pricing. As soon as you walk in the vibe is very low-key quiet yet family friendly. It’s a great place to hold a business lunch or a great option for that hot date you’ve been waiting to go on. The food is amazing. I ordered a beet salad that was spectacular. I also tried the pepperoni cheese pizza that was cooked to perfection in their huge oven, sitting in the center of the restaurant. We topped it all off with pasta rolled through their cheese wheel made at tableside. I highly recommend this spot, make your reservations ahead of time because they are getting very busy.

So we had to try the hype. Had a date night with the Wifey. Ended up getting there a little early. It was fine enjoyed the views. Very nice on the inside. Parking was very easy also they are attached to a parking garage where they validate. Food was ok not as great as I would have expected for the amount that we paid. Was not burnt but lets say extra crispy.. walked the line. The waiter was excellent. There pr person Joe was awesome. Even spoke with one of the owners Mike he was delightful. As for comming back we will need to try out their pizza!!

Moderna Bar and Pizzeria is quickly becoming our go-to. The pizzas are absolutely delicious, and the pastas are just as impressive. Particularly the vodka burrata pizza was my favorite, so unique and flavorful. Bonus tip: The house wine is actually really good and a total steal. We sat at the bar during our last visit, and Katelyn took such great care of us. She was so helpful and made the night perfect. We already can’t wait to be back!

This is the new IT spot for Italian food. Absolutely delicious quality menu with tons of classic options. Love that they have a table side Parmesan wheel service. Portions were way bigger than I expected, plates are easily shareable. Their expresso martini was one of the best I’ve had in the city.
Service was fantastic, and attentive. Interior was gorgeous and romantic, very moody. Loved that it didn’t feel pretentious, despite how fancy it feels inside. I see myself coming back over and over for any occasion.

I had the pleasure of visiting Moderna Pizza & Bar in Austin, and I can honestly say Maestro Leo has outdone himself. He once again showcases his exceptional pizza-making craft and attention to detail.
I’ve been fortunate to try many traditional and contemporary Neapolitan pizzerias — including Pepe in Grani, Da Michele, La Notizia, Inferno, to name just a few — and I am comfortable rating Leo’s pizza among the very best I’ve had anywhere.
What makes his approach special is that he’s clearly pushing the style forward. He has created what I would call a modern Neapolitan — maintaining the soul of Naples while improving the eating experience. The crust achieves something rare: a beautifully airy cornicione with a light, delicate interior, yet a gentle crispness that gives structure and avoids the overly soft, sometimes floppy texture of classic Neapolitan pies.
Leo works with a custom blend of flours, including grains sourced from local Texas mills, and the flavor genuinely stands out. The aroma and taste reminded me of my grandmother’s old-school bread baked in a wood-fired oven — warm, nostalgic, and deeply comforting.
If you find yourself in Austin, TX, this is an absolute must-try. Highly recommended. Don’t forget to try their in house made Limoncello as well! Cheers

Great people from the moment we stepped in. The decor and music really made the vibe perfect. The lights were dim but at your seating area there was a light perfectly set for you.
Every single dish we tried was delicious and they did get a bit busy mid way so our meals came out a little late and unorganized, but it actually worked great for us. A few people came up to us and notified us of the delay which was a nice touch, but as mentioned we were relaxing and enjoying our date night and drinks. I highly recommend the house Pinot and the meatballs. We also had the table side pasta which was delicious, but unfortunately we did not get the full experience of the table side as I saw online. I do think this was because of how busy they got which is understandable they just opened and operations needs some TLC. However they still get 5 stars and a returning customer because their food was freaking delicious.
Oh and they validate your parking ticket so make sure to take that with you if you park in the garage.

First things first: our server Hamlett was the star of the show. Incredible attention to detail, genuinely funny, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. Every recommendation he made landed. When a server actually guides you through a menu like a seasoned tour guide, dinner turns into a whole experience.
Do yourself a favor and get the side of potatoes. Truly marvelous. The salad was incredibly fresh, and the pizza program is impressive. They even have a special pizza built specifically for this location, which felt like a fun little inside secret of the restaurant.
The tiramisu absolutely knocked my socks off. One of those desserts where the table goes quiet for a moment.
Another highlight: upper management stopped by the table a few times and were warm, attentive, and clearly proud of what they’re building here.
The ambience is gorgeous. It works just as well for a relaxed dinner at the bar as it does for a larger group.
Helpful tip: the parking garage next door is currently closed, but they validate parking, which makes things easy.

This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in Austin. The service was very attentive, and all the food/drinks were delicious. We had a large party, but everyone was very happy with their meals. I really enjoyed the tagliatelle pasta, and the burrata caprese with the homemade bread was perfect! The limoncello olive oil cake was also great, not overly sweet or heavy after the meal.

The Antipasti presentation is a wow with thoughtfully curated cheese and charcuterie.
The pizzas are a must try. Neapolitan style out of Marra Forni oven that is a center piece of the restaurant. They also have a pasta lab for their dough production! Lots of love is put into producing this menu by the culinary team.
Staff was welcoming and attentive. My wife enjoyed herself so much she asked when we could visit again and was texting her friends telling them about the experience.
Many thanks as we don’t get out often these days with a toddler. Look forward to dining there again soon
