The hand-rolled sourdough pretzels are absolutely delicious. Get there early because they sell out fast! We also loved browsing their selection of fresh-baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods like fermented veggies and house-made liverwurst.
Seating fills up quickly inside, but the courtyard is a lovely spot when the weather’s nice.
We ordered several of their offerings and everything was delicious! The most surprising item was their fermented ketchup — as someone who considers regular ketchup to be a bottom-tier condiment, theirs is INCREDIBLY good — crazy good — and all of their other condiments that we tried were fantastic too (the ranch is herby, the mayo is silky, the horseradish is creamy with a slight punch.) Our next favorite were their chicken wings. I’ve tried chicken wings from an enumerable amount of places and had some good ones, but none have ever matched exactly what I wanted, until these. They are prepared and seasoned absolutely perfectly and I regret not getting another order to take home. We also tried their caesar salad which is fresh with a pleasing lemony brightness. The pizzas are tasty with a chewy, pillowy crust and the best best best part is because they’re sourdough, you don’t feel bogged down after eating like you typically do from regular pizzas. We also picked up some items from their prepared to-go section that were great (bagels, fermented veggie cream cheese, fermented pimento cheese, and sourdough crostini.) Really, everything was outstanding and I could go on and on, but in short, MSAK was a real treat and we will absolutely visit again and spread the word. Now, maybe more than ever, this type of care and intentional preparation of food is of the utmost importance for so many reasons and we’re happy to support and thankful for the nourishment.
The menu changes some over time so come and see what is in the kitchen today. I highly recommend the pizza, the pretzels and mustard is amazing. I love their breakfast choices- everything is delicious and made fresh every day.
Parking is free and fairly easy to find. Take a short walk and enjoy the day.
The only down side is that it’s a bit cramped. And the place is popping, so you definitely feel the squeeze.
