Got this place for lunch today through DoorDash. I ordered a salad and found a bug in it. Absolutely disgusted and will not be back. Make sure to check your food thoroughly.

I had the Thai coconut salad, which was delicious. The salad dressing had a great flavor and all the toppings were great. I particularly enjoyed the sweet potato’s. The chicken was good, but it was a little dry in some parts, and some of the lettuce pieces were wilty, but only like 3 or 4 small pieces. The food came out in about 10 minutes. I enjoyed the wall and seeing all the plant decor. One thing was that for maybe 30 seconds there was like a really loud blender that disturbed the peace. Overall pretty good though and the prices were reasonable.

I ordered the Buddah Bowl & took off the spicy broccoli & slaw. I also asked for the “SAUCE ON THE SIDE!!” When I got my order, the bowl was completely empty on one side (assuming that’s where the broccoli & slaw would have gone). The sauce was also mixed into the food, like I asked them not to do I paid $15ish dollars for half a bowl of food. It honestly looked half eaten when I opened it and I’m just very confused why the portions are not considered after removing certain items (because we all have preferences!) The food itself is high quality & very good but I was very sad about how little I got 🙁

For those of us with allergies and stomach issues (celiac and lactose intolerance) + eczema it makes a huge difference to be able to find food that’s all organic and healthy. There are some days I just dont have it in me to cook, Modern Market is one of the few places I trust to never get sick. I also appreciate that you can customize orders, its very helpful when your craving something different and decide to just remove the dairy since not all dishes offer bith dairy and gluten free. The food was a solid 5. The vibe and atmosphere is why I gave it a 4. I really enjoyed the quality and taste of the food. Digested really well and felt healthy and hearty. It was really loud in the kitchen for a bit like loud construction was going on or food prep of some sort that made the experience less enjoyable and made me want to put my headphones in to drown out the loud/unpleasant noises. I’ll be back since the food items are often gluten free and of higher quality than most places around the way. Staff customer service quality was alright, nothing to rant or rave about in that aspect but the food is solid! Definitely will say this is some of the best quality food around this section of Boulder!

There are 2 other much better, more reasonably priced bowl places in the same shopping center – Cava & Motomaki. Go there. Every time I give this place another chance, I am disappointed. Their prices are on the higher end and they give you a meager bowl that doesn’t look very appetizing. I have no clue how they stay in business. Maybe the pizzas are good – I’ve never had one, but if you are looking for a bowl or a salad, go to one of those other places. You’ll get twice the amount of food, it will look better and it will cost the same or less.

We’ve been to Modern Market a number of times and always love it. Everything we’ve had has been fresh and flavorful.
We came this time for a fundraiser night for my daughter’s gymnastics team. We ordered the Thai Coconut salad and Lemongrass Tuna bowl – both were delicious.
I also had wine, which was terrible. For $3 a glass you shouldn’t expect much, but this tasted very watered down. I’ve had it before and it’s never been this bad.
We also ordered the cranberry oat cookie, paid for it, and were then told they were out of them. My only option was to choose another kind. So I ended up buying a cookie I didn’t want. At least some of that money went to support the gymnastics team.

I had the Buddha bowl which was tasty. I can see from the reviews that cleanliness has been an issue. That is still the case, they don’t clean the tables.
That also have this very annoying cooking alarm that sounds like a car honk. The pop music is also annoying, but that’s a personal preference.
