Waited in line for 20 minutes to order our pizza’s. Then manager would only help one group per staff member. We had five people in our group. In the mean time one of the members of our group were able to leave order food and return with their food before the fourth person was even done ordering their pizza. We then waited over 25 minutes to get our pizza’s. The people that were helped behind us were able to get their pizza and eat it before getting our last pizza. This is terrible customer service. We will never return the the Layton location again. I am leaving this review as warning to other customers. This sadly is not the first time this has happened. We were stupid enough to give this location another chance. Don’t make the same mistake as us.

Absolutely terrible. DoorDash a Dominic pizza and waited an hour in a half for it to arrive and it arrived and this is what I got. Not sure what it is but it’s rock hard and cold.

We took our party of nine to Mod Pizza in Layton to celebrate a birthday. The employees were very friendly and professional, and got our custom pizzas made and baked in no time at all. And they tasted great!
I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant as well. Every table was clean, and then soda counter was spotless and well organized.

This was my first time eating here and it was really good. I had read bad reviews about this location but I didn’t have any problem with the quality of the food or the service and I even went during the busy lunch time. I got two build your own pizzas. I love how you can put all the toppings you want for the same price. We also did a half and half pizza without any problem. The toppings were very high quality, and the sauce and dough were good. Also liked that you could see them cooking in the big brick pizza oven. Only took about 10 minutes to cook. Would definitely go back.

We had been a little bit frustrated with this MOD location – it seemed like every time we came they put fewer and fewer toppings on our pizza. Not today! These are the best pizzas we have ever had at this MOD. Ella helped us and she was amazing. Listened and accommodated all of our weird pizza requests, and was very sweet and patient with one of our kids that wanted to order his own pizza. I don’t know what changed but every pizza we saw made today looked awesome. The toppings were generous and there was a wide variety of toppings to choose from. They even had the line split into two so that one person could help one group with their orders while Ella helped us with ours. Overall, very impressed and happy with our food and the service. And we will definitely back sooner than later. Thanks!

Previous review: We love this place. Definitely recommend. All the toppings you want and the price stays the same. It’s clean, friendly, and OMG so fast. Check it out. We’re here all the time. And use the app for freebies. // OK UPDATE: That was our old review about mod. Well here’s our new one May 13th. We will probably not return. This experience was so terrible, I highly encourage anyone interested in going to this location to second guess it. Bottom line the employees said the manager quit on them, just walked out. We still thought we could eat good food considering they’ve already been trained to prep and cook properly. Well it was so far from the truth. They were out of a hand full of ingredients, the place was filthy, everywhere. The staff was so disheveled and stressed it was obvious something was seriously going on. We didn’t hear the lack of management part until our food was handed to us. When we got home to eat after a long day of work we had a clump of hair in the layers of pizza. Lost my appetite and $42. They need help immediately. This place for us was our go to pizza spot.

We came in at 7pm, 3 hours before close, and we notified the staff that we had allergens and preferred the freshly changed toppings that we literally just saw the employee put out ( I think all patrons who could see the clean one versus the used side was better) and they tried telling the one guy helping us (he was cool) to use the messy side and I, as a customer, had to say I want the fresh toppings. They kept trying to say “that side is closed” and pressure him in to keeping that side clean. Do you guys normally stock one side and plan on it not being used? I think everyone would prefer you put away toppings in the fridge instead of just out and covered for 3 hours. You guys have always been cool about allergens, we pay more for the GF crust etc. This felt like I was bothering you guys at your job. We will not be back to “inconvenience” your store again.
