Entered restaurant on a Saturday evening and was waited on promptly. The young lady was friendly and efficient. There were several customers waiting for their orders, but nothing too drastic.
I ordered the Mad Dog Mini add mushrooms. It was made to order, as all of their pizzas are.
The lobby needed attention, as there were no clean tables. Drink station was low on napkins, straws, etc., but there was only an hour and a half until closing, so not a problem.
The order came out in approximately 10 minutes. The pizza was over baked and a tad crunchy. There were opportunities for the manager to quickly wipe down tables. She was observed talking to an employee for a minutes at a time. With the location being small, the lobby could be cleaned up in 5 minutes.
I will give this location another chance in the future. I have had better at other Mod locations (Livonia, MI, Brighton, MI, and Maricopa, AZ).
Make your own, unlimited toppings. Ready in less than 5 minutes. For 8 bucks, one pizza is good enough for 1 above average eater, we get 2 pizza for 2 adults and a 7 year old. Was perfect.
I have been going to MOD for a while, this is my first visit to this location. New and shinny. Nice decor. With a huge collage on the wall.
the pizza crust is thin and right amount of crisp. (I was a not huge fan of the mega/double crust pizza, unevenly cooked. )
The topping and dressing option is way more and fresher than any other regular pizza place. Love it.
They also can make salad, garlic bread, cinnamon sticks.
I reduced one star, because I found a pepperoni stuck to the bottom of my all veggie pizza crust. (we are vegetarian). When I mentioned about it, they immediately reacted and swept the Oven.
One of the pizzas was kinda oily but the others were good.
Cons: we came twice. First time the male employee was really grumpy with helping make our pizzas. We had some gluten free crusts in our order, he seemed really annoyed by this. We felt like we were inconveniencing him by ordering our food. They cooked some of our pizzas upside down and burnt them and served them. The man I’m assuming is manager came over and apologized for the food quality and gave us vouchers for two free pizzas on our next visit.
We came back, with our family again, different employees this time, but equally or more grumpy. No smiles, no response when told thank you. The man I’m assuming was the manager from last time gave no response when we asked for our sauces, he passed them over without a smile or response to our thank you. The female employees were kinder. A couple of our pizzas were burnt again on the bottom and edges, though not as severe as the first time. Food was just ok.
Not worth the hassle to go. Need customer relation training here. We’ve been to the troy location and really liked it. Food was better and employees were great there. Don’t plan on coming back to Canton location.
Tables and chairs looking worn and used!
Could use a few updates in the dining area!
But overall…service and food was great!
Mod Pizza is perfect size for an adult.
Love the flavor, definitely coming back
Being a fairly new vegan, I am constantly looking for good take out. Mod Pizza fits the bill!
Their gluten free crust and dairy free cheese are excellent. The one price pizza allows me to add a ton of wonderful toppings.
The staff is outstanding. All were cheerful and helpful to this first timer.
I will be back soon!
Walked in & the store was due to close about an hour early due to short staffing. My friend & I walked in, then a train basically followed along right afterwards. One lady was trying to do her job but some nonbinary person kept speaking trying to talk to her while she was doing hers. Dude approached the counter and began our orders but was out of stock with alot of toppings. He yelled back to the non binary that he needed toppings and major help because it was just him and had a line of people forming. They never brung up the toppings so he had to run to grab them. Then they asked him if he “really” help. You could tell he was sick of their shii. It was only after he got done with both of our orders that they finally came up to help.
I think he did great with my pizza but with my friends salad, he barely put any toppings on what was supposed to be a Mega. The portions he put on would be regular portions for a mini or mod. Friend wanted to be passive aggressive and not say anything though.
Black char all over the bottom of my pizza and hands from the lack of cleaning the oven like it’s supposed to.
We both ordered lemonade but it was only enough for both of us to only have ONE cup because they let anybody come in with a cup and get themselves free drinks & refills.
Then they continued to sell lemonade to the several people that came in afterwards when they were completely out and didn’t plan on making anymore.
All in all, this was my second visit to MOD ever with both visits being at this location. It’s 50/50 whether I’ll be back. It’ll either be third times a charm or 3 strikes, you’re out ♂️
