Fantastic visit!
We visited Moctezuma when they had a food truck initially 3 years ago – meeting the owner José. We loved the food and couldn’t wait to visit more often.
We were excited to hear they expanded to a storefront location and planned to visit whenever we had a chance to be down there.
Last Monday night we planned to go there after running a few errands. After a night of weightlifting, walking & biking we were ready for a big meal.
We ordered 4 Birria tacos combined (3 as is and 1 just meat & cheese), carne asada fries & Birria nachos.
The flavors these dishes had were immense. The birria itself is very flavorful and complimented the onions and cilantro. There was also a plentiful pour in each of the tacos. It was nice to see that they don’t skimp on the protein!
The nachos are a big plate that definitely is great for the table to share.
Also my wife stated that these were the best carne asada fries she’s had recently. The seasoned fry is substantial enough in size to deliver on holding the toppings!
Also all of the fries had a great crunch & taste!
Last note: I did grab their hottest salsa & veggies from the self-serve salsa cart. The salsa definitely tasted homemade and had a nice balance of flavor. The veggies themselves seemed to be prepped the same day. They tasted very fresh!
Also their salsa bar was very clean and organized, which should be applauded.
Overall, this is a great spot for hitting that Birria or carne asada craving.
I can say definitively we have added Moctezuma as one of our favorite places to eat in Colorado Springs!

If you want a place where you can eat real Mexican food with a great atmosphere and amazing service, these is the place. Love the carne asada fries and pasión fruit margaritas, impossible to drink just one. A local restaurant that definitely is my favorite now.

This is my first time here. This place just opened today!! By far the absolute most delicious food wonderful clean and friendly atmosphere lots of smiles and laughter heard in the kitchen. Everyone works so well together. The prices are decent especially for how full I got off just 2 tacos!! Everyone needs to try this place!!! I will be coming back very happy with my experience

I’ve been following these guys since they opened their first location about four years ago. It’s amazing how much they’ve grown.
It’s the best place to have lunch or dinner and hang out with friends. Their number one dish is the birria tacos, and I love the size of their portions, it’s a good amount of food for the price I paid. Totally worth it!

Amazing service and great vibes! We had the quesabirria tacos, steak torta, chips/queso, and churros. The food came out quickly and was ALL delicious. I’d definitely recommend giving them a shot!
