It’s well labeled and accommodating. The food is tasty and hearty.
The service was excellent. Our server was hard of hearing and was an exceptional communicator as well as being warm, friendly, and efficient.
The prices are appropriate considering the quality and quantity of the food.
It’s a bit loud, due to the very high ceilings, but good conversation wasn’t impeded.
We all enjoyed our food very much.
The hot chocolate and warm cookies were a standout.
We will definitely return!
The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The food is made from scratch and is very tasty! The biscuits were warm and delicious! Scratch seasonal soda was awesome and the fresh squeezed orange juice was great. Grilled cheese and tomato soup hit the spot. We loved the devilish eggs appetizer! We will road trip to visit this restaurant again, it was that wonderful! Our servers Brendon and Alex both were personable and attentative. Loved everything about this place!
I do wish any of the locations still had the seafood deviled egg appetizer we had at the D.C. location the first time we went, but we haven’t seen it on any of the menus since that first visit. Also, I feel it’s worth mentioning that the reason I won’t be returning to the Tyson’s Corner location is because, 1, the atmosphere is rather cold and uninviting and, 2, they don’t (or at least didn’t) have the chicken and waffle entree on their menu. Instead, they offer a chicken and Jefferson donut. When I ordered it, it sounded appetizing, but upon tasting it, I couldn’t imagine anyone enjoying it. The chicken was good, but the donut was absolutely disgusting, to me.
All of that being said, I would recommend this location to anyone!
I ended up having TWO clementine beverages (they are in-season, now). One with vodka & one with tequilla. I think the one made with tequila was incredible. The vodka one had a more mild taste, but I like a more noticeable flavor.
The avocado toast tasted good but was literally falling all over the table, menus, our clothing, etc so I am going to suggest they make it actually stick to the toast & smush it on. Eating it was embarrassing!
The cob, with crab, salad was INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t finish it, but I tried to.
The environment is always nice, just too bright, and that’s the only reason I don’t visit this chain, as much. I usually go for places that are on the dim side.
