Mocha Molly’s started as a coffee cart in the lobby of Memorial Hospital of Converse County by Kate Murphy in 2004. Kate’s husband, Dr. Mark Murphy, is a surgeon and at the time he was preforming surgeries at MHCC. The shop is named after the Murphy children and started off as Mocha Molly’s, Espresso Emma, & Cappuccino Claire. At some point the name shortened to just Mocha Molly’s. The hospital acquired Mocha Molly’s in 2015 and the coffee shop has operated under them until 2023. The newer administration at MHCC wanted a private party to take ownership of the coffee shop. Toni, the manager of Mocha Molly’s since 2018 had grown to love the shop and decided to purchase the business and carry on the name. Mocha Molly’s re-established 7/2023
