We loved the Moccasin Bar during our stop in Hayward. The vibes were great- cash only, friendly bartender, touch tunes, and awesome taxidermy scenes. If you’re into weird roadside attractions or just fun bars, you’ll love this spot!

I stopped here to check out all of the crazy taxidermy displays and the World’s Largest Muskie and let me tell you, definitely well worth it!!! Very creative displays to check out. Also, the patrons and bar staff were not only friendly but are also extremely proud of what they have. I’ve been to a lot of bars in my life and this is one of the most unique ones I have ever seen. Very worth the stop to check out.

Wow! Was not expecting such a cool experience at a “dive” bar on my travels through Wisconsin. This place is a must stop. The woodwork in the establishment is done extremely well, the bar is thoughtfully designed and the taxidermy animals is SO tastefully and artfully done. Bartender was attentive and local patrons were nice.

Super cool place! But I must say, the bartender with the long dark hair/ponytail that was working last Saturday night should find a job she actually likes. There were 26 of us and it wasn’t overly busy when we arrived. Our group was not behaving badly in any way yet were treated like we were an annoyance and an inconvenience. She was incredibly rude and unfriendly. She pointedly ignored us when trying to order drinks and scowled at us when we finally got her attention. We probably would have spent a few more hundred $$ there if she wasn’t such a vibe kill. Nice job, honey.

As a self-proclaimed dive bar connoisseur, this place hits all the marks. I knew as soon as I read the “cash only” sign on the door, I knew it was going to be great. Such impeccable vibes, we came back on our second night in town. Make sure to check out all of the wildlife taxidermy and read the news article about Jim Otis catching that giant sturgeon; it’s exactly how you think it would sound.

Taxidermy was superb. Gotta love the Wisconsin up nort’ bars. Bartender was a gem, said we could get all “da beers and no tip” bc we only had $10. We bought cheap beers and tipped though! Took lots of fun pictures.

You have to stop here if you’ve never been and check out all the crazy taxidermied scenes. The service is also friendly, and good at putting up with the tourists who come to check out the oddities. We had a great time here.

Totally Wisconsin. I remember this from my youth. Kids are fascinated by the vignettes with animals in funny outfits. Largest muskie caught is there. Just a fun, casual must-see to roubd out your Northwoods adventures.

We stopped by for a cocktail and to check out the taxidermy displays. The staff and customers were welcoming. The drinks were good, and the mounts were both informative and comical at the same time! It’s definitely worth a stop!

Walked in 6 of us, music was soooo loud, instant headache. Bartender did not acknowledgeus for 2-3 minutes. The Bartender was VERY rude. I asked her if she could turn the music down a little and she cocked her head and said “NO” and walked away. She made the drinks that were so weak they were terrible. We left and went to The Social Kitchen And Coctails had awesome service and drinks. Lynette was awesome.
