We had fish and chips at Moby Dick in White Rock last week, and it was absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside and tender inside — and the portion size was generous. The fries were great, and the onion rings were just perfect. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We really enjoyed the whole meal and will definitely be back!

I had the sampler platter. It was pretty good, little bit over fried. Wish the oyster was a bit bigger. The clam chowder had a lot of potatoes and not much clam for $8.50, wonder if it was made from scratch. Should have stick with the fish and chips.

My husband and I came here for lunch on our 15 year anniversary. We were looking forward to a delicious meal and a cozy space to warm up after gathering seashells, exploring the ocean & taking in the beautiful scenery. Our waitress greeted us warmly, and there was a perfect booth for 2 in the back. Despite the dreary day, it was fairly busy- so we were happy to have gotten seating right away. The atmosphere is so nautical, I absolutely loved the seashell curtains! Not to mention all the adorable decor all over the walls- it was the perfect place for lunch. We ordered the 1 piece fish & chips each, and were thrilled that it came with an extra piece. The tartar sauce was plentiful, tart & so so yummy! The fish was cooked to perfection, and the portions were quite large- I couldn’t even finish my second piece + tartar, so I was glad to have a snack for the drive home. The staff was also very kind, & when we paid one of the waitress gave me such nice compliment, which made our day even more wonderful. We cannot wait to come back again!

Had takeout from Moby Dick Restaurant in White Rock. The fish was a bit oily, but the fries were super crispy and delicious. The coleslaw was fresh, and the tartar sauce was acceptable. The ocean view is absolutely amazing , perfect spot to enjoy classic fish and chips by the beach.

this fish n chip place is excellent, light batter that’s not too heavy, our cod tasted fresh and moist, the fries were good as well, we got a small order of deep fried shrimp and oysters which was a great addition to our meal, nice little place and very cosy across from the water, prices were reasonable, family ran it seems and we always love supporting these types of establishments, staff was very kind and helped us with our order to help us save a few bux, love this place and we will be back the next time we visit white rock

White Rock’s got the best fish and chips! Seriously, they nail it. The fish is perfectly cooked, not too thick, and the batter is so yummy. Plus, the fries are always fresh and crunchy; on top of that, the service is always great!

We have been going to this place since my kids are young (they are 18 & 21) until the last couple years. Their fish size has gone smaller and price gone up (I understand that everything has gone up but shouldn’t be both).
I thought to give them another try on the weekend but I’m so disappointed. I bought onion rings, calamari and a barrel of fish and chips). Onion rings are too small and calamari are small and way beyond crunchy. The fish size are small and I have a full bucket of potato crumbs (see photo) instead of chips. For $120 barrel of fish and chips, I expect better.
We are not going back there again.
Will try Cockney Kings next door next time.

Amazing food and service, and what a pleasant surprise that they gave more pieces of fish that we ordered. Very generous portions, will be back for sure!

I’m honestly surprised this place isn’t rated a full 5.0, it absolutely deserves it! This is hands down the best fish and chips and onion rings I’ve had in Canada, and I’ve tried many across different provinces and cities. A true hidden gem. I would gladly drive an hour again just to enjoy their perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious Captain’s seafood platter for two!
