Awsome lunch spot that also serves the community. As a furloughed federal employee, I had spent a month eating Ramen and PB&J alone in my basement when I heard that Moby Dick was offering free sandwiches to those affected by Congress’ refusal to compromise in service to the American People (aka 2025 Govt Shutdown).
Besides being a good business, the food is fantastic. I got the Chicken JooJeh Sandwhich and it slapped. The portion size was plenty. The flavors were different than my palette’s regular fare and I savored the diversity.
I was met with kindness and served with a smile despite not being able to pay. These folks were a blessing in a time of need.
Thank You Moby Dick

I love Moby Dick and their support of furloughed Federal workers made me love them more. I am a forever customer as a result of them providing free lunches to furloughed feds. Honestly, I was a forever customer before. I had never been to this location before and found they’re just as fabulous as their other locations.

I appreciate the service and the fact that they offer decent veggie options , however, but why does their falafel taste so awful?? Wouldn’t you think falafel would be at least good at a Middle Eastern place.

Like all the other Moby Dick Kabob places I’ve been to this one was also great. Super clean as usual! Food was presented super fresh and looking like an artful masterpiece , as usual. We went to the wrong location and this location was smart enough to wrap our stuff in foil so it could stay warm. Thank you! Oh and there was a woman with fake red dyed hair from the salon next next next door that tried to deter us from going here and luckily we are familiar with the place and knew she was lying and went in anyways and loved it AS USUAL!

Everyone was so nice at the restaurant and the food was wonderful. Hit the spot. Was really quick, delicious, and the place was clean and comfortable to eat a quick bite in. Will be back!

This is nothing like the original Moby Dick. There was barely any meat. The bread was stale and the lettuce had a funky taste. Too bad the original Moby Dick was amazing

Great chicken kabobs with rice, salad and an order of humus. One order of each was plenty for the two of us, with leftovers! The staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

This is about the food, not the service or the location. The place was clean and service friendly and fast. The food though, mediocre at best.
The original Moby’s used to be amazing. After all the franchising, the slightly charred light bread straight out of the tandor has been replaced by tasteless, colorless corporate garbage. The fresh house made sauce is now sad prepackaged corporate mystery goo. The chicken was dry, the rice was tasteless and the hard dry baklava was an absolute tragedy. What I got last night was a plate of sadness compared to the OG Moby Dick.
After ordering from here last night, it’s time for me to finally admit that the magic of Moby’s has been corporatized and it’s not coming back. I won’t be back to Moby’s after this but I’ll have fond memories of the amazing meals we used to get back in the days of OG Moby.

Love this place! Moby Dick House of Kabob on Connecticut Ave in Kensington, MD, is an exceptional dining experience! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere welcomes you. The menu is a delightful array of kabobs, with each dish expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the chicken kabob, which is tender and bursting with flavor. The sides, especially the saffron rice and fresh salads, complement the main dishes beautifully.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, making sure every guest feels valued. Whether dining in or taking out, the consistency in quality is exceptional. And the prices are reasonable for the generous portions. If you’re in the area and craving delicious Persian cuisine, Moby Dick House of Kabob is a must-visit! Our entire family loves it.

I’m really impressed with the new Moby Dick location! The space is clean and welcoming. I’ve always been a fan of their Chenjeh —it’s consistently flavourful and perfectly grilled— but I tried the Gyro for the first time at this location and I have to say—I absolutely loved it. I also really appreciate the expanded grab-and-go options, like the Ash, which is hearty and flavourful just as it should be
The staff is friendly and strikes a rare balance of being helpful without ever feeling overbearing. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing something to go, the experience is smooth and enjoyable. It’s great to have Moby Dick in the area.
