So my daughter and I were out on a Friday night looking for a good place to eat and we stopped at Mo Bay spice in Atlanta. This is a wonderful out-of-the-way restaurant that has a beautiful atmosphere and warm welcoming. People is so nice in this restaurant, the ambience is great for a date or a girls night out even if you wanna come and just hide away in a corner and just experience the absolute cool vibe that this place lets off my server, Ashanti was extremely attentive and very very knowledgeable about the food and even gave us suggestions. I was so thankful for her kindness because sometimes you go in and people aren’t aren’t nice but everyone here in Mobay spice is very warm and welcoming and friendly. I had the Esco beach fish and my daughter had the steamed fish both of which were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend coming here because if this is any indication of the rest of the food, you cannot go wrong with eating in this place. This is a whole vibe absolutely a whole vibe.

Mobay Spice was absolutely amazing! The food was incredible — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The portions were generous, and every dish I tried was cooked to perfection.

The service was just as impressive. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure I were comfortable the entire time. They were friendly, professional, and quick without ever making me feel rushed.

The atmosphere really completed the experience. It was warm, inviting, and had such a great vibe. Whether you’re going for a casual meal or a special occasion, Mobay Spice is the perfect spot.

I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a wonderful dining experience!

We visited Mobay Spice mid February 2026. Ambiance and decor is lovely. I was disappointed in the entree I ordered. I ordered the curry chicken and the flavor was lacking. The gravy was watery. I was transparent and shared with the server and she was very nonchalant about and borderline dismissive. I asked for some curry goat gravy with hopes it would enhance the flavor she brought out the curry chicken gravy instead. I did not eat the chicken or the rice on the plate, only the cabbage as it had a nice flavor. When we received our bill the curry chicken was still on it. I asked if nothing was going to be adjusted she greeted me with a dismissive smile and left the table for a long time. I was later told the manager would come about 30-45 mins we waited for the manager to arrive, when she did her body language was defensive and so was all what she said next. I shared my concerns and dislike of the entree, she educated me that they have never had a complaint and this was their most popular dish which she then gestured to the restaurant that most patrons had the the curry chicken which was a lie. She then told me it was my prefence that was the issue and not their curry chicken. I explained to her coming from a Jamaican background and household that this is not curry chicken. She also combated that she too is from a Jamaican background and household and pretty much this was standard and that my palette is off. I told her I’m not going to argue with her but it stands that the curry chicken was simply not good. She offered 50% off and asked if I wanted it to go and I refused because it was not enjoyable at all. My issue is not agreeing to disagree but the lack of accountability and placing the blame on me the patron yes I know the customer is not always right but let’s be honest that was 101 poor customer service. As I observed most people who were dining at the Mac and cheese entrees, fish, appetizers and drink. From what my eyes can see I was the only one with curry chicken in that moment of time. This experience really upset me. Good luck if you go here be wise in your food choices if you don’t enjoy it and make it known they’ll hit you with the ole it’s you not them

I went to Mobay for the first time and had an amazing experience! The food and atmosphere were absolutely top-tier. Our server, GG, was exceptional — very efficient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and made sure everything was perfect. I’m beyond happy with my experience and will definitely be back!

What an experience!! The vibe the food and the hospitality were top notch. Ashanté and Nyara (sp) ensured me and my coach had everything we needed for an exceptional experience. We had the oxtail tacos, plantains and the coconut curry vegetables with rice and peas. And the soursop drinks were delicious

This is definitely on my list of favorites. Be sure to check them out.

Had a lovely lunch at Mobay spice! The service was impeccable, Neirah made us feel at home. The food was delicious and well spicy. I had the rasta pasta with jerk chicken, and added fried plantain to balance the heat and give it a little sweetness. Will definitely be coming back. ❤️❤️

So, this was my first time here after it opened back up. My oxtail mac and cheese was top tier and although I had a new bartender make me a margarita, Summer the vet made me a Long Bay Beach after that did not disappoint. 9/10 for them to me only because of the first drink I had otherwise, if it’s Summer at the bar, you’re good! Oh you also have to try the Mango Scotch Bonnet wings. Fire! I’m so happy those place is close to my house. I’ll be back. Stat!

I will start of by saying that you can smell the food before you walk in the door. My wife had the Oxtail plate and I had the Mac & Cheese with oxtails. Everything was good and flavorful. We also had drinks(rum punch), I didn’t really taste the liquor to say it was $16. Our waitress only came to our table TWICE, when they brought our food and when it was time for the check. The bartender came and asked were we okay more than anything. I hate that there is an automatic 18% gratuity, she didn’t do anything for those $17.

Food was OK.. I had the Mac & oxtails.. they gave me the smallest/ meat less 3 oxtails known to man Btw. My date had jerk chicken in which he enjoyed. I had a drink $15 & got a shot in which was $15.. $15 for a shot of rum is totally insane and it’ll be the reason I never return there. ( and it wasn’t even a full shot LOL) It’s my fault for not asking the price of the shot of rum but in the same breath they know that is so shady! Place was dead too. About 6 people included us was there on a Friday. TOOK THE FOOD FOREVERRRRR to come out. We literally was about to pay for my drink/ shot & leave.. I will add the place is nice. Loved the music & the ceilings. They did a great job designing x

I finally got a chance to experience the food at Mobay Spice and I was impressed. For starters, The ambiance was nice. Our waitress Chrissy did an awesome job. Her energy was great and she was very informative with assisting the table with menu selections .
The oxtail flatbread and the spicy wings were superb. The ackee and saltfish was also amazing. I will definitely be back for round 2 — to indulge in a few other dishes Im interested in trying pretty soon.
