I just finished the Oxtails, Spicy Rice and Plantans and all I can say is “I’ll be Back”. Food is really good and authentic. Not stingy with making plate, so portion size was good. Customer service is also great! Lady was accommodating and asked if I,along with other customers was ok. She seems to have really sweet personality so I appreciate that. Overall Good food, Good Place, Good Vibes!!!

I love when I find a hidden gem of a restaurant situated unassumingly in a strip mall. Mo’Bay exceeded my hopes for good Jamaican food in every way! The service was excellent and accommodating in a fast casual atmosphere. I was able to get a combo plate of jerk chicken & oxtails over rice with a side of plantains- I was torn about which to choose. Everything was delicious and cooked very nicely. The plantains were the best I’ve in many years. They were perfectly ripe and cooked soft, but not mushy, with some crisp caramelized edges. They also have a fresh juice bar and my apple carrot ginger juice was a definite winner with my food order. I got two meat pies to go and they heated up great in the toaster oven the next day. My son loved the leftovers- the portions are generous. The restaurant was neat & clean with fun music. The lady working the counter was super nice and helpful. I will definitely return when in the area!

If you’re craving authentic Jamaican flavors, Mo’Bay Island Cuisine is the spot! I tried the jerk chicken with steamed cabbage and spicy rice, and the flavors did not disappoint. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of heat and smokiness, while the steamed cabbage was tender and flavorful—a perfect complement.
The spicy rice lived up to its name—a bit too spicy for my taste, but if you love heat, you’ll love it! To cool things down, I had a pineapple ginger drink that was both refreshing and delicious. I also couldn’t resist a coconut drop dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
Great food, great flavors, and a true taste of the islands. I’ll definitely be back!

5 stars for taste, service, and overall quality. I loved my jerk chicken and brown sauce chicken so much, that I ate the leftovers at 1:00 am in the elevator after checking into our hotel in North Carolina. AMAZING.

Delicious! Do not walk…run to this place. I ate the beef stew, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, oxtails, white rice. It’s soooooooo good. I am actually upset that they are closed on Sunday’s. It is a bit pricey but the quality of the food outweighs it.

The service was a bit disorganized, might have been understaffed and the older lady made some rude comments about us. She probably assumed I couldn’t understand her but I grew up in Boston with friends from all walks of life. The food is seasoned well but you pay way too much compared to the amount of food you get. We went with 2 beef patty and coco bread and I was disappointed that they didn’t offer cheese with it. When I got the beef patty I noticed that they just put your beef patty on top of the coco bread. Maybe I’m spoiled and maybe it’s tradition here but every Jamaican restaurant I’ve been to before cuts the bread and puts the beef patty inside and they offer cheese with it that melts when the warm it all up. You can see from the pics that I cut mines myself. The filling of the patty was lacking, mostly crunchy and greasy but unless I have another option this will be the once in a while stop for an expensive beef patty. We also got the stew beef with rice and beans and mac and cheese. The stew beef flavor was awesome but $20 for 12 small piece of stew beef seemed like I got ripped off. I’m assuming because the older lady didn’t like us for whatever reason they took advantage and gave us small portions. Each thing was individually priced, stew beef, rice and beans, mac and cheese, beef patty and coco bread. $41 was my total and I always tip, even when the service is bad, which cost me $51 for the trip. Honestly I could’ve went to countless restaurants and received better service and food portions. Looking for my next Jamaican food joint cause this ain’t it. Also, beware of the parking, spots are very narrow and you might end up with a dinged/scratched door.

If you’re at all a fan of Jamaican food, Mo’ Bay is absolutely fabulous. It’s not much to look at. They’re not “dressed to impress”, but they’re serving up some DELICIOUS food with a smile. Excellent service! They even offer a selection of imported beverages to complement your Jamaican dishes. Serving sizes are generous, too. I don’t think any of us actually finished our meals. You can tell they know what they’re doing here. There was a bit of a line after we arrived (we were on the early side for dinner because we had just traveled in and were hungry). Looks like locals cherish this place. I travel all over the world as a flight attendant and LOVE finding gems like this. Outside of Jamaica, the only other place I’ve been that really impressed with the Jamaican menu was “Turtle Bay” in Manchester, England. And even that was on a different catering-to-tourists kind of level. Mo’ Bay is strictly about serving delicious, authentic flavor.

A true gem in Pooler! This spot serves authentic Jamaican food, just like I remember from my youth. The restaurant is modest, but the food is delicious, hot, and full of flavor. The ladies at the counter and tables provide excellent service, handling everything seamlessly. The prices are almost too low for the quality a fantastic deal. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stopped at Mo’Bays Jamaican Cuisine restaurant on our way to FL. This place is not far off I95 so convenient to get to and park. I got chicken stew, rice and beans and island slaw. My husband got jerk pork with same sides. Medium sized portions are very generous. The chicken was so tender it fell off the bone. Delicious. The rice and beans very good too. The island slaw was vinegar based, different and very complimentary to the entree. My husband said the pork was a bit spicy but so flavorful he couldn’t stop eating! The place is clean. The staff is very friendly and provide great customer service by checking on patrons making sure they’re enjoying their meals. A winner! Such a wonderful change from Chain restaurants while traveling.
