Reviews
The chef was friendly, attentive, and visibly engaged with guests, something that is not always a given in busy restaurants. A clear highlight were the spicy edamame: cooked to an excellent texture with a proper bite, not overdone – a detail many Asian restaurants unfortunately miss. At €9.50, however, the pricing is clearly positioned at the upper end.
The sushi quality was good and well executed. While not at a top-tier, standout level, it was fresh, cleanly prepared, and enjoyable overall.
One point of criticism concerns the restroom facilities. According to the owner, improvements are planned, but implementation is still pending. Given the high customer volume, a significantly increased cleaning frequency would be advisable even without structural changes.
Conclusion: A pleasant dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere and solid food quality. We would be happy to return.
The restaurant has a lovely, romantic atmosphere with dim lighting.
However, the hanging table lamps are at eye level, which makes them quite bright and distracting when trying to talk or serve food.
The food was good. The sushi actually pretty yummy. But the portions sizes are relatively small, one sushi plate is definitely not enough.
I nonetheless would come again (with startes then).
Good variety and mix of sushi and other types of Asian dishes.
Definetly can recommend beef in ginger sauce.
All sushi are served with steaming dry ice, what creates a kind of spectacular show.
Service is a bit slow, but there was only one waiter, don’t know if it always like this. Nevertheless, one can survive this;)
Keep in mind that better to book table in advance, the restaurant was full on the evening of my visit .
Before I always eat in Soul Sushi, but from now is my number 1 for special occasions. Food made not only to taste great but look as art.
It’s totally worth it’s price!
Edit: visited year later, got even better. The starters were amazing, all was super full of flavor and really friendly staff.
