I’ve been to this Mo’ Bettahs location several times, and the food is always good. It’s cooked fresh, served at the right temperature, and presented well. I’ve never had an issue with the quality of the food I order, it’s flavorful and consistent, which is why I keep coming back.
Unfortunately, the service has been very poor. There always seems to be confusion, and the staff doesn’t appear prepared or organized. Orders get mixed up, and the wait times can be long. If you order online, there’s a real chance your ticket may not get printed or prepared on time, and you’ll have to go up to the counter to ask about it. That’s frustrating and disappointing.
I’m giving this location three stars simply because I genuinely enjoy the food, but the service really needs improvement.

Service wasn’t really great. This is the first time I’ve ever been in. Comparing what I got in my plate and the service vs L&L in Nampa, L&L wins.
Staff seemed to be upset I didn’t know which 3 sides I wanted as soon as I went up to order.
The teriyaki steak was a $1.99 up charge and this was all I got? I was kind of shocked. The food quality itself was great, just shocked at the small portions. I’d go again but I’m not gunna get steak if they charge me an extra $2.

After going to the Meridian location for the first time and having the best food ever, I went to the Nampa one since it’s closer. Never again! The service was not good vibe was off. The kid serving my food was weird and servings sucked. Pork was way too salty and nothing like the Meridian location. My personal opinion was the chicken was not thoroughly cooked and the girl manager was nice about my complaint and made me a new one. I waited a while to get the chicken. I hardly ate anything there. In my picture, I had just cut up the chicken. The pork is literally how it was served. I’d never go back there but I will continue eating at the Meridian one. Way better atmosphere and food quality.

Isabella was working here from the store off of eagle road in Idaho. And she is awesome. She went above and beyond on a super busy labor day. She kept a smile. Even when our order got forgotten she noticed right away and fixed it. Without making a fuss. She had to improvise on the spot as they were out of regular teriyaki chicken and it was cooking but we had been waiting awhile. She is one of the best employees I have had the pleasure to come across in a really long time.

The wife and I were so excited to try this place. The service was fine, but they need to speak up. We couldn’t hear Them. The disappointment was the vegetables were called. The meat was cold. I need to concentrate on making warm food. That’s the only turn off. Everything else was fine. Once you start heating up the food, I’m willing to try it again. The prices were fine for these times. Make me proud

First time in today. Food is bomb. But the portions are all out of whack. I got the Ekolu plate, swapped white rice with brown and the kid served me 5 scoops! I told him one or two is cool but he didn’t care. Freaking Lolo. This probably has everything to do with service, not portions. But still! Vibe was just wayyy off. I mean shoots where is the aloha spirit? No one greeting you, smiling or answering questions with your first time in?! Guess I’m in Idaho.. Just half expected at least one braddah or sistah to be behind the counter. The young’uns there gotta fix their attitude. It’s like any question puts them out enough to roll their eyes at me. Kid rang me up but refused to hand me one silverware package that was next to the register? He said “go grab your own. They’re by the fountain drinks.” Not to mention this little dude just walked away mid order for both the couple in front of me and myself. Didn’t even say anything lol. Nampa location service way off. Gets 2 stars cause the food is stellar. But won’t be back.

I ordered the Ekolu plate with 3 meats. I ordered the Teri chicken, katsu chicken and Teri steak. I didn’t receive my katsu chicken and I paid 21 for the 3 meats. Sucks cuz the kastu chicken is my favorite. I also tried to call 2 separate time the phone just rang and rang and rang… it wasn’t even busy when I went in.

I usually love Mo’ Bettahs, the food is always great and the portions are solid. But the service this time was honestly terrible. I’ve never had amazing service here, but I’ve always brushed it off because it’s usually younger staff who seem a little unsure. Today, though, was on another level.
There were five employees behind the counter. One was taking orders, one was cooking (and they already had plenty of meat ready, but I understand he was just staying ahead). But the other three? Just standing around with their hands in their pockets, talking to each other. We stood there for a full five minutes while they ignored us. The only people actually working were the guy taking orders (where they ask what plate you want) and the guy cooking, who finally stopped what he was doing to help us while the other 3 kept talking to each other.
I really do enjoy this place, but for the prices and the wait times, the service needs to be much better. I understand they’re teenagers, but at least make an effort. Being ignored by three employees at once is pretty unacceptable.

Reeeally good food. Their menu is simple, but what they do make is absolutely delicious. I got a mini plate with kalua pork and teriyaki chicken with double rice (I am gluten free and can’t eat the Mac salad ) and I loved everything. The meat was so tender and flavorful, with nice clfresh-off-the-grill taste. NY friend got the pork and the Katsu chicken, and she reports that the chicken is perfect with a delicious crunchy fry. She also said she loves how creamy the Mac salad sauce is.
I was so hyped to see that they serve Hawaiian Sun! Nostalgic and refreshing and the perfect drink to accompany your meal (trust me, skip the fountain drinks, hawaiin sun is way better) they get bonus points for that for sure!
They were crazy busy when we went in, but they worked so fast and got us through lickity-split. Nice workers, professional quick, and friendly.
The atmosphere is standard shopping mall food place decore, and it was really loud with no music or anything. But it did not detract from the food or the service one bit so 5 stars still!
