My family and I were passing through while on vacation and were about to visit the McDonald’s across the street. Thankfully, we spotted Mo Betta BBQ and went here instead. The food was amazing and you got more than enough. Also, we spoke with the owner and his family. You could tell they really take pride in their business and their community. 10/10 would recommend!

Super yummy food. Brisket (got 1lb to go… Not on the menu, but ask. ), and some of their beef bbq nachos plus some collard greens. Only “complaint”… Wish they had a less sweet spicy sauce. The one I got was really good, but got sweeter the more I ate it… But really… The meat really didn’t even need it! The good things… Very fresh and flavorful. The greens were very flavorful with just enough spice (although 1 person said spicy. LOL. Basically, if you’re not a wuss, the greens are super yummy. )
Oh… Also, very military friendly and offer a discount. They even have a military service wall with pics of family that served in military/police/etc.!

Delicious food coupled with a great casual and friendly atmosphere! I dined in and the owners would ask me how everything was and ensure I was satisfied with my meal. This is a place you just feel good about spending your money at.

Really loved the brisket! As you can see the muffin didn’t make it…sad . I tried the muffin but really didn’t like it. I think it had onion powder in it which I didn’t care for and it fell apart. However…it was sweet and moist which I like. It’s just the onion killed it for me. Wished I had vinegar for the greens but they were good without it. Mac and cheese was really good as well. One thing they don’t have which I love is sweet potatoes…. dessert is limited. They had a devil’s food butterfinger cake. I didn’t get it because I am not too fond of either that type of cake or Butterfinger…just my preference. Overall I will eat there again most definitely! This was in Huntington,Wv btw! At the Market

Stopped in on a bike trip from Pikeville. All the fellas loved their food. The raved about the garlic/parm wings and the bbq beef. Chatted with the owner. Nice spot don’t sleep on it.

I tried Mo Betta for the first time yesterday (Huntington location), and I was very impressed! I had a brisket sandwich and their homemade chips. The sandwich was fantastic, largely due to the brisket being cooked nearly perfectly, but also the SAUCE I really liked the homemade chips, too; they were salted perfectly. I had pretty high expectations after seeing the recommendation by Jojo at Soul Food Twist (a place I strongly suggest patronizing if you like Mo Betta), and I was NOT disappointed. The staff was awesome as well. Will definitely add this place to my lunch rotation

This place is fantastic! Some of the most pleasant people I’ve interacted with as a customer, and festive patriotic decor. This is some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had in my entire life. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender. The Pork tenderloin is moist and flavorful(and you know how a lot of places love to dry out their pork). We got our order to go, and they packaged the sauces separately so we didn’t end up with soupy remains at the bottom of our takeout container.
Corn on the cob was great, potato salad was delicious and unique, like a cheddar bacon potato salad. It came with this kind of sweet and savory corn muffin that was borderline life-changing.
I live five minutes from this joint and I fully expect my lifespan to shorten appreciably, but it’ll be worth every second. If you’re feeling barbecue in the least, EVEN IF you live near another barbecue place in the area, it is worth the drive. Do yourself a favor and get yourself some Mo Betta BBQ.

As a younger lifetime resident of putnam county I always take pride in a new business coming into to our small yet bustling area we call home. I’ve just recently got to try mo betta BBQ and could not have been more pleased with everything about the trip. For starters your greeted by the nicest workers, whom mostly are the family who owns the place. Some of the nicest most local/family oriented people around. In addition to the outstanding service the food is there to match. Great proportions, great taste, great restaurant. Hope everyone that is in the area gives them a chance to earn your business

Great people and even better food! In my opinion, best BBQ in the area hands down. Love conversing with the workers and they are over the top with their manners. Family owned and ran. Dad makes the food and grandma makes the desserts that are fantastic! Thank y’all for bringing this restaurant to the area.
